Margeaux Supper Parlor presents a novel way to experience dinner by telling stories through cuisine. Guests are encouraged to order a themed trio of dishes, larger than tapas and smaller than big plates, to better experience the menu and recreate the familial bonhomie we associate with supper at grandma’s (when you were urged to try a bite of everything!).
Recommended wine pairings are served in collections to mirror the entree trios.

Margeaux Supper Parlor serves New American cuisine, blending dishes inspired by the two most historic port cities in the country: New Orleans and Boston. Dinner plates include: Tomato & Bacon Jam Deviled Eggs (topped with a fried Maine oyster), Lamb Lollipops with cherry reduction, Pumpkin Ravioli, Beef Wellington, Shrimp & Boursin Grits, and Maple Bourbon Steak Tips.

Brunch is also served in themed collections and includes items such as: Quiche Lorraine, Fried Chicken & Sweet Corn Waffle, Eggs Benedict, and a Black Forrest Waffle.

Sadly, we did not realize that Christmas was a prix fixe. These are usually disappointments and this dinner fell right in line. The food was a serious disappointment, and for the price paid...ouch! Service certainly lacked polish, but tried hard. Cocktails were delicious and the coconut cake, divine....the rest, truly mediocre. That said, we will return to give it a fair shot. A holiday, prix fixe menu is usually not representative of a kitchen's potential.

Went for the prix fixe on Christmas. My dinner looked (and tasted) microwaved; my mother's was blackened salmon in what can only be described as a bath of clam chowder, which looked heinous and, according to her, tasted awful. The cheesecake tasted sour and the coconut cake was waterlogged. Disappointing and a little horrifying.

We had a Christmas dinner at Margeaux. The restaurant was packed, and service a little slow but attentive. The dining room was not too noisy even completely full, and the food was amazing as usual. Highly recommended.

I went to Margeaux on Christmas Eve with family. The restaurant is beautiful and there was a prix fixe menu. The food was very good. Among the table, we had stuffed mushrooms, squash carpaccio, baked brie, beef wellington, lamb chops and more. The food taste was excellent. The menu listing was very limited which resulted in allergens/preferences being served. For instance, the squash carpaccio made no mention of nuts in the description, yet was served with nuts on top. The service was severely lacking. The cocktail order came after the appetizers were served. After each course, they cleared the table including utensils, but then did not bring new utensils until we asked multiple times and were sitting there with food getting cold. One person ordered the three small plates optional and only two were served. They did not tell us when to expect the third and had to ask for it. We had to request more water twice. While it was a busy evening there, the service was overall disappointing considering it was a dinner that cost more than $455 for 4 people before tip.

The food was amazing! We were there Christmas Eve (made an early reservation to avoid the rush) for the special dinner and it did not disappoint. Lamb lollipops, Beef Wellington, Shrimp Scampi, Salmon with Crab cream sauce. So, so good. The small plates are much larger than most small plates and we all left with very full tummies. The service staff were very friendly, which we appreciated. We were attended to by several of them, which perhaps led to some hiccups. We had to ask for our table bread, but when it arrived it was fresh out of the oven and delicious. We were served 4 desserts but only 3 forks. That was quickly rectified. After dinner, my husband asked 3 different people for a specific type of sherry, and it was the last person who finally got back to us and said they only had one kind. None of these slights were deal breakers, but just a little tightening up would make this place exceptional. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

What a gem. The owner gave us a choice of tables and wished us a happy anniversary. The waitstaff practically beamed at ys. The bartender accommodated with a special Cocktail. Among our dishes were the oysters,lobster/crab bisque , beef Wellington and pecan pie. The food was beautifully plated and came in a timely way. We will be back, and we’ll bring friends.

This is my new go to restaurant. I have been for both dinner and brunch - all excellent. The “collection” concept allows one to taste a variety of dishes - fantastic idea. For the brunch, one can order a “mini” Bloody Mary” along with one egg Benedict. At dinner recently shared the arugula fig salad, halibut & had the 1/2 portion of the lamb lollipops. My friend had the 1/2 portion of rib eye. All excellent and the wait staff is incredible! Since I did not want 2 glasses of wine, they offer a 2 ounce glass which was perfect.

Complicated menu explained by friendly host; the 'food flight' was an odd grouping of food choices, though tasty. A tiny bowl of gumbo was $14, and a full size version of an entree at more than double the price of the small plate was not much larger. Service was fine.

Wow! This was the best meal I’ve had out in a very long time. Our server gave us great advice and the deliciousness of the deviled eggs w a fried oyster and bechamel(?) on top sounded strange but tasted AMAZING! Every bite was truly spectacular. The four of us raved about the food and service. My back was to the dining room so little comment on the ambiance. Happy to spend the money here - they earned it. Will go back and recommend it endlessly. Yum!

The idea of a three-course tasting menu is great. The fact that all three courses come to your table at the same time is not great. Instead of enjoying each plate you end up with one dish that is nice and hot, one dish that is lukewarm, and one dish that is stone cold. Even if you eat off of all three plates at the same time it is impossible to enjoy all the food at the proper temperature, much less also enjoy the wine pairings. A fine enough idea that for me was let down by the execution.
