The restaurant was closed when we arrived, despite booking via Open Table & receiving a booking confirmation email.

We realised on the night of the booking that this restaurant is actually permanently closed now!! Please take it down off open table, it was very disappointing.

Super night at Mario’s. The food was the star again - just fab. It was super busy and the staff did a great job. Really enjoyed the evening.

I have visited Mario’s a number of times and have had lovely food, but this time was completely different, even though it was not busy, the service was poor. I ordered a coffee which was cold when I told the waitress this she didn’t seem to care just took it away and returned a minute later with another one which was not much better, we ordered lasagna and a calzone meatball pizza, the meat balls were hard and dry and lasagne was not much better, I mentioned that the pizza was not great with inedible meatballs but she didn’t care, after that we were left waiting for our bill, will not be returning

The vegana is the best vegan pizza I have come across at a restaurant to date. Lovely atomsphere and friendly service.

Seated upstairs in an almost empty space but still seated at a very unsuitable table & had to insist on an alternative table. There was no heat & it was very cold .

Menu a lot fewer choices than usual. Food looked and tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. Same prices as normal though! I spotted regulars just ordering pizza, so maybe this is known locally over the Christmas period. The food was just okay enough not to return; service was friendly, atmosphere was pleasant, place was clean and cheerful. We loved Mario’s Ranelagh when we lived near it, and had hoped for the same at Mario’s Terenure, so we’ll probably give it another go during normal times, allowing for the fact that over Christmas can be super-demanding for the hospitality sector. But right now, I couldn’t recommend it.
