Welcome to Market Place Kitchen & Bar! We are a new Modern American Restaurant in the heart of Woodbury, CT, we are run by Executive Chef Matt DeLongis. We celebrate and encourage local, organic and sustainably harvested food and spirits. The interior of our space is compiled of sustainable and local materials, utilizing beautiful 300 year old barn wood from the Gurski Farm in Brookfield, CT. For three years in a row we were named Best Farm To Table Restaurant by the readers of the Waterbury Observer! We look forward to you trying our inventive, seasonally inspired cuisine and cocktails. I was excited to have lunch with the location perfect to start on the CT antiques trail. The restaurant is well decorated, cozy gas fireplace. I had the short rib focaccia which was good but not crave-able. My husband ordered the Steak sandwich which was not good….nothing special. at all. The bread was no better than a food-store roll and it fell apart. I was surprised, with the many good reviews my expectations was that lunch would add delight our adventure it did not. oh well…..it was only lunch.

the restaurant is wonderful. Service was great. Food was awesome! My only complaint has nothing to do with the restaurant, it was a mother with 2 children sitting right next to us. Her toddler was a screamer, and mom held conversations with her husband and children, screaming her words! This was NOT the restaurant's fault-but mom got my dirty look and realized her parenting skills needed to be checked. They eventually left, but it was very nerve-wracking to sit through her screaming to speak to her husband.........

Two couples for dinner. Service was prompt, all our dinners were good to excellent and the atmosphere is always comfortable. It was fairly busy but there was a nice holiday vibe, pleasant lighting and music. Always reliable for a happy night out.

Amazing experience. Food was so fresh and cooked well. The service was amazing, such a good time. Definitely would recommend!!

Had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation, then were asked to move to a smaller table to accommodate others who just arrived…..they just overbooked and should refrain from doing that in the future. Food was good, although drink order was wrong and follow up round took over 15 min (w/2 bartenders and more than half the restaurant cleared up. Just okay….though there’s not much in their location.

Menu offered variety….something for everyone. Food was delicious. Nice atmosphere. Service (Matt) was EXCELLENT. Matt was engaging and attentive. Live in lower Westchester, but with reason to return for a visit to Woodbury, would definitely return to this restaurant. Highly recommend!

Pleasant , not so warmy . We were seated inside in the middle of the room, but we asked to be move away from the traffic in a booth. We were surprised there was no bread on the table. Seating are too closed to comfort. Muzak was a bit loud. We took our niece out for her birthday, we stated that on the reservation, they didn’t acknowledge it. They only checked on us once. Food was ok!
