   We love Mastro’s and it was our first time dining at this location. We expected the same level of service and unfortunately, everything fell short. There was just a lot of waiting. We waited 15 minutes to get seated for our table on a Sunday night, when half the dining room was empty. We waited 5 minutes after being seated before a waiter came to greet us with the menu. We waited another 20 minutes before he took our order. We waited 20 minutes for our sushi appetizer to come out. We finally caught on and requested all our food to come out as fast as it can, so thankfully the rest of the meal was ok. Their food is still top notch and consistent between the different locations. They seated us in front of the open doors, so it was a lot more chilly than we anticipated, and the waiter didn’t offer to move us. We just left it alone and kept our jackets on during the meal. All in all, still love the food served at Mastro’s but will not be returning to this location. A three-star rating when we were expecting five.

   Though we waited a while to be seated even though we had the reservation . The service overall was great ! Food was fantastic!

   Not what I expected from reputation. Steak was a little grisly and tough but not horrible. The worst part was the crowd. A loud argument broke out among several people at the bar. A lot of customers were dressed in t-shirts and not business casual. Just an overall bad vibe to go with a less than stellar meal.

   We started the dinner well, with personalized menus with Birthday greetings, but service went downhill when they delivered our Chef’s cut steak about 20 min before any of the sides came to the table. By the time the sides came, our heated plates were cold. Charging us twice for bread service was noted, as well as a wrong side dish delivered to the table. There are so many other steak and seafood restaurants that have impeccable service and similar price tags. We’ll probably not return back.

   Rushing through dinner because of the early Lakers game. Service was good but a little slow. The food was great as usual

   First time visiting this mastros in Dtla. I’ve gone to many other mastros. Well first off, when I walked in, the hosts in the front were not welcoming at all. There were no smiles and no warm welcome. It was my fiancés birthday so I called in advance to make sure they provided the menus with happy birthday and his name. They said they would accommodate but when we sat at our Table the menus were not provided. Secondly, the server that helped us was unapproachable and didn’t even welcome our table with a smile either. She also lacked basic menu knowledge that I feel a server should know. Didn’t know the price on things, didn’t mention they served cappuccinos only offered me a coffee. I also asked her for lemons and she said if no one else brought them for me she would get them. No one else brought them of course neither did she so I had to ask a busser for some. She also didn’t recommend anything at all. Overall, her service was mediocre. Definitely not fine dining material. My soup was cold and my fiancés steak had no flavor. I don’t know if I’ll be back but if I do, I’ll probably just sit at the bar. Mastros please step it up.

   Excellent food and service was stupendous!! Great atmosphere and food was delicious!! Highly recommend and reasonable priced!
