   Our waitress, Ashley was wonderful, however I had to send my petite filet mignon back twice because it was not cooked the way I requested. Finally the third time it was done properly. I wasn’t expecting this , as Maestro’s is supposed to be above average. This was also our 30 year anniversary. I booked our reservation 3 weeks prior, requesting a somewhat private , special table. The hostess put us at a table in the middle of 2 other tables in a not so special area. I did ask to be moved to the table at the end , which she did accommodate. Our waitress was apologetic, covered our dessert and another glass of champagne.

   Mastros is one of our local favorite steak and seafood restaurants, and it is first-class all the way. The only minor issue was that my Martini was very weak. But the food and service are the best.

   Unfortunately the “Rack of Lamb “ was disappointing.. Overcooked with a taste that indicated a definite lack of freshness that was evident from the lack of flavour and smell.. Did not finish the lamb and the waiter took it and boxed it up for to go … We(wife) and I have dines several times at Mastro’s Ocean Club Restaurant with great meals in the past .., however the same cannot be said for last nights experience… My wife ordered Filet Mignon on the Bone… Dru and tasteless..: It was as not a good night.. …In thought.., Michael R.
