I had a great experience at the high top tables by the bar. Joia took excellent care of us. It was a great first visit for me and my dad. We shared a salad and a pizza. Joia made sure the salad was split before it arrived at the table. The food was very tasty. Very pleased with our overall experience.

Great experience except for the hostess who did not speak when we arrived or left. She definitely acted racist. No smile, no acknowledgment. We had to ask for a table of 5. She had major attitude. The bartender and server was nice and kind. Hostess should be fired.

Food was delicious but the service was subpar. Management was apologetic -sorry not sorry kind of way.

We sat in the bar area. They seemed to be understaffed when we arrived. My drink was way too strong. I got the Naughty List cosmo and it tasted like vodka with a splash of lemon juice. The pizza and Caesar salad were good. The buffalo wings were tiny with a ton of sauce and not a lot of meat. The bartender was on his phone in the kitchen for about 5-10 minutes which was frustrating as we were waiting on our bill to get to a basketball game. I hadn’t been to a Matchbox since they closed the Chinatown location, and this visit was a bit disappointing. I don’t think we’d go back.
