Fantastic food and great service. The whole vibe at Matteo is super cool. We had a great evening, and the place was full all night.

The food was mediocre at best. Nothing really stood out as exceptional except for the constant upselling. We bought our own very expensive bottle of wine , but the serve tried to sell us a more expensive bottle from the restaurant. Everything was a potential to upsell , ruined our experience. Lastly, we asked for Sambuca with our espresso. and they didn’t have any. And you call yourself an Italian restaurant??

It is my favorite restaurant in SaltLake City! I love food. Matteo and has marvelous group… special thanks to Bruno my favorite waiter ❤️ The food is made with love. Matteo’s mother makes the bread and desserts everyday… fantastic The food has amazing ingredients and every single bite is special Do not miss going to Matteo

This is a quaint little restaurant with authentic Italian food made by "Mamma" herself. Our waiter was genuinely friendly and helpful; and felt like a long-lost friend by the end of the evening. Get the bread basket. The focaccia melted on our tongues even without the delicious butter. And don't miss the whipped brie. Who knew you could whip brie??? We've already made another reservation to go back.

Great food and a solid wine list. Could use a little better selection of red wines by the glass. Very loud but food was amazing.

Delicious food and great service! The restaurant was warm and inviting; despite being very busy, it wasn’t too loud. We will definitely be back soon.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in SLC. We don’t come as often as we’d like, but we’ve never experienced a less than perfect meal each time we’ve gone. The staff has a warm collegial attitude and takes superior care of guests. And the food is by far the best Italian in the state. The risotto with aged family balsamic is my favorite, and the whipped brie is to die for!

Matteo has been one of my favorite dining experiences in Salt Lake City. I am gluten free, so it was a treat to be able to safely order a full Italian meal. And it was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Excellent service, preparation and presentation. The carpaccio is outstanding. Nice wine selection and reasonably priced cocktails. A wonderful addition to SLC.
