Maude. A name now synonymous with fine wine and elegant tapas, she's the only person you need to know for romantic and intimate evenings in Coorparoo.

Maude keeps it simple with a pared-back bistro setup that is all-white and effortlessly sophisticated in appearance. Save for the immense neon display of its name, the restaurant itself boasts very little in the way of decoration, preferring instead to enjoy life low and slow with great food and wine.

The first thing you'll probably do here is order a glass of wine, Shiraz from New South Wales, malbec from Argentina and other rich reds from Tuscany. Expertly designed with the food very much in mind, you'll find that they complement each other perfectly.

To pair with your wine is a small selection of European nibbles. Rich flavours come in the form of lamb sliders, whilst seafood gets a look-in with calamari. And are Italian tapas ever complete without arancini balls. The same goes for the lemon meringue, but you knew that already...

    The tapas choices were all so tempting and we did have a range of menu items that were all absolutely delightful. Something everyone’s taste. The food quality is excellent and there are some really unique takes on the respective food elements. The value points were spot on and the drinks and wine menu offered greater compliments and very good value.

    Just love this place and the staff, have been coming for years, great coffee, yummy spritz’s and delicious food, OMG the food!

    A lovely restaurant with attentive staff . We enjoyed our food but were disappointed by a lack of vegetarian and vegan options. That was, in all honesty, our mistake as we could have looked at the menu beforehand on line. The coffee, ambience, value for money and staff were all outstanding.

    My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Maude. It was chilled and a lovely clientele. The share plates were delicious. We both OOo and aaahh'd over the aracini balls and the accompaniment with redwine caramelised onions. The lamb and roasted capsicum sliders and crab sliders were delicious too. The brioche buns were fresh and perfect. Dessert was a delicious lemon and lime pear tart. Happy night. Chatted with the owner and are seriously considering a milestone birthday here. Dinner menu very different to lunch time. I am glad I've tried both. I went with my friend for lunch recently and absolutely loved it. Totally a hit. Nothing factory about this place. Will be back. Thank you.

    Such an amazing experience in my local area. The best menu at breakfast and then for the wine and Tapas. Thanks for a great Friday night 😍

    Wonderful restaurant. We have been twice now in the past month and brilliant both times. Food was great, well priced for Coorparoo. Wine options are great. Highly recommend.
