   Very disappointed in this restaurant as there are not a lot of choices in our area for dining however I can't recommend this one. My husband, adult daughter, and myself visited on a Saturday evening and had a very bad experience. Our waiter person was completely incompetent and inattentive. When our entree's were delivered to us by the manger and not the waiter, he had gotten my fish order wrong so they offered to make it for me while I waited in the meantime my husband and daughter had finished their steak, which by the way was excellent. When I got my meal the fish was under cooked and very cold. I of course sent it back and we left without my having a meal. They were very sorry but what good does that do? To top it off I expected they would comp at least a part of the meal if not the whole thing but that didn't happen. The evening was ruined. Will NOT GO BACK!

   A very nice dinner & evening at Mauka. Everyone was so cordial making our anniversary celebration very special! Our servers were amazingly helpful & attentive. My dinner of Escargot, Macadamia Nut Crusted Ono & Mango Crème Brûlée for dessert were the best flavors I have tasted. For this incredible meal, we paired a bottle of French Medoc. I want to try their Rack of Lamb or Lobster next with a Tiramisu dessert. We are coming back!

   Really bummed I made a reservation for my boyfriends birthday even put a note in and they said happy birthday but was really hoping they would bring out a desert with a candle or something literally anything would have been nice as most restaurants do but nope not a thing. Also make sure you order a side because if you order any meat dish that’s all you get just a piece of meat on the plate. For the price really disappointed, for the service also disappointed.

   Had a nice meal but the environment is much more bar’ish than fine dining. Nice staff, great local artist for live music, food was delicious and perfectly prepared. They charge a fee for Credit cards which I don’t agree with personally so that knocks them down a bit even though it’s only a few bucks… it adds up in the overall experience.

   Only 3 tables with customers, was 15 minutes before he took our order. The soup was cold, our sides were delivered before our main course so they had to take them back to reheat as they were now cold. Steaks were decent but the whole experience was not enjoyable. Service was poor. Would not recommend.

   We made a reservation for dinner at 6:30 arrived a few minutes early and they said they we’re full and we could wait at the bar. Service at the bar was very slow, they had no staff behind the bar, at 6:55 we were finally seated. The restaurant was loud, between the customers, and the music it was difficult to have a conversations. Dinner was fantastic, we both had the macadamia crusted ono, would return just for the food.

   If you are staying at a resort and you are tired of the overpriced breakfasts, GO HERE! Sit at an outside table order a mimosa if you are inclined. This restaurant is similar to going to a golf course restaurant. Good food, okay service and reasonable pricing. We stayed at Marriott’s “Autograph” property at Mauna Kea and just got tired of the gouging. David Las Vegas, NV

    As regular customers, Mauka always hits the spot. They always have great cuts of beef and are cooked to perfection. The selection of wines are varied enough to satisfy any wine enthusiast and the seafood and pasta dishes are superb. Entertainment is very pleasant and classic old style Hawai’i. Do not rush your dinner, as sunset at Mauka is truly magical and you understand why they named it Mauka and savor the slow pace of Aloha.
