   Great spot in south beach. Looks touristy but really this is a hidden gem. Very good food and fun to people watch.

   The DJ was playing a bit too loudI for the patio area. It was hard to converse over music. I ordered steak frites and my husband had the Mahi Mahi. The texture of the steak was rubbery when I cut. I took my first bite and it tasted so bad that I had to remove it from my mouth.. it was pink in color which was expected but it tasted like raw hamburger. I’m normally a pretty easy going customer because I spent many younger years waitressing and I can’t recall the last time I had to send a meal back. My husband’s fish was mushy but he ate half of it anyway. I ordered a Chicken Caesar wrap to replace my steak. It took them about 30 minutes to bring that out. The waiter team was nice enough but overwhelmed by their tables so they were missing in action for long periods. Overall a poor experience.

   Food good. Service very slow. It was NYE, so maybe that explains it.

   Great food and service! The waitress was really nice and the restaurant manager. He came over to introduced himself and made us feel welcomed. I’ll def be visiting again when I return!

   Every meal we ordered was exquisite Calamari appetizers Alfredo salmon fettuccine Al dente and savory Avocado tomato salad fresh Our Chardonnay wine was chilled to perfection Server was vey pleasant and did not miss a bit

    I had read many great reviews and happy to say our experience met our high expectations! I shared the mahi entree and a veggie burger with my daughter bc I couldn’t decide what kind of mood I was in. Both were excellent. My son got the Lucy burger and loved it and my husband the whole snapper. The calamari is awesome and we got 2 salads for appetizers as well. Very fresh flavorful ingredients. Def recommend Maxine’s!
