   The food was lovely and service good. Great music being played and the restaurant has a great ambience. The only thing that soured our visit was that we had tickets for an exhibition at Somerset House which gave us 25% off the total bill. We had burgers and a drink which was on the menu as a lunch time special at £15 per person. However, the 25% discount was deducted from the full price of the food and drink we had, not the ‘meal deal’. The staff did not mention this so we actually paid more with the 25% deduction than we would have done had we not presented our tickets for the discount. The Ts&Cs of the ticket discount state that it. annoy be used in conjunction with any other offer. We didn’t appreciate that the £15 price was classed as an offer as it was on the menu. I think the staff could have pointed this out so that we could have benefitted from the most advantageous price but instead they kept quiet. They’ve been loyal to the restaurant but it’s the sort of practice that lea ea a bad taste and deters return custom.

   Food was very good, fresh ingredients, good portion sizes and nicely cooked. Fountain soft drinks were a little weak and watery, maybe the mix wasn’t right that day. Main issue was the table we were sat at which was right on the aisle by the bar, in front of several set back tables. I kept getting bumped by staff and customers alike passing through to the other tables so there was obviously not sufficient room allowed and too many tables were shoehorned into the space. Overall however we had a nice visit and will return just not to that table!

   We booked as a table of 6, 4 adults & 2 children. Menu options were varied and well catered for all. Restaurant was lively, food was really tasty & staff were lovely! Will definitely be back again!!

   Been a few times but this time was particularly special. Celebrating my 30th. Staff were friendly, and went the extra mile to make it memorable. Food was amazing and price is great, but the staff deserve a shout out. Big thank you to Scott for going above and beyond. Highly recommend!

   Love Maxwells. Came with a family group of 8 and although we arrived 20 minutes early, they had us seated within 5 minutes. Our server was really good. A couple of food errors were quickly rectified. Will be back again soon.

    we took 2 children - 9 and 11 for a holiday treat. I remember going to Maxwells in Hampstead over 50 years ago and how much l enjoyed it and last night it took me right back . The food and the atmosphere were really good and we had a great night.
