McGarity's Restaurant & Saloon is a local family & U.S Navy veteran owned and operated business located in historic Jefferson, Texas and is a purveyor of new American & Irish dining with international influences.

Our menu serves both quality interpretations of classic dishes and daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of food. With the ambiance like non other, you will definitely enjoy your time with us. Don’t let the name Saloon fool you, this is a Kid friendly establishment (children 12 & under eat free) with awesome ambiance for all to enjoy and talk about!

Our cocktail menu offers the perfect blend of classic prohibition-era and modernist cocktails featuring hand crafted syrups, house made infusions, and fresh herbs. We feature several local beers by the bottle, as well as seasonal rotators and special releases. We personally select every bottle of wine on our list to pair specifically with our food while also focusing on creating value for our guests.

Food and service great as always. My husband loves the White Wine Salmon. I can not get enough of the Fried Avacado with Crab appetizer.

The food and libations were top notch. They seemed to be a little short staffed, but that seems to be the norm these days. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Overall the food was very good and the service was excellent. My wife and I enjoyed the hamburgers and my MIL said the French dip was also tasty. Portions are generous so we didn't have room for dessert. Reservations are essential during busy times since waits exceeding 40 minutes are not unusual due to the limited table space.

We had reservations for later in the evening but arrived early they were able to sit us anyway. It was crowded the place was full. The food was really good. (The fried green tomatoes were tasty and I had the corned beef and cabbage). The singer was absolutely fabulous great songs it was an enjoyable evening after a 3 hour drive to get there.

The food was excellent; the music was a tad much for such a small space- restaurant only holds like 15 tables maybe so for a guitar playing it seemed super loud- plus there was never a break in the singing- 2 hours of straight music, but she did sing well so that helped! Overall we will be back!

We were very disappointed the the food as the menu looked outstanding, it tasted like everything was not freshly prepared from scratch. Decor was terrific. Service was fine.
