McLaughlin's at the Marina, located at Hamlin's Marina in Hampden, offers the perfect setting for that special occasion. The restaurant is off the beaten path and when you arrive you will find yourself overlooking the beautiful Penobscot River. McLaughlin's offers the freshest of seafood, as well as tasty steaks, light fares, delicious salads, and full bar menu. The marina restaurant is open 11:30 A.M. until 8 or 9

This peaceful spot hidden away is an ideal location for receptions, weddings, or special events. In addition to the restaurant, Hamlin's Marina has a full service operation offering docking, mooring rentals, gas and diesel, boat sales, and service. I took the time to make a reservation for a special occasion and the hostess/owner seated us next to the kitchen where it was so noisy/busy that we could barely carry on a conversation. There were two tables that needed to be cleaned in the area closest to the lawn with a great view of the water and it seemed like she seated "the regulars" there. We won't hurry to go back.

Was our second visit here in a week. Good food, good value, bit on the noisy side. Nice outside seating around the fire pit. Great views of the marina Make reservations as this is one of the better restaurants in Bangor and they tend to fill up early.

It was cool outside so I had asked not to sit on patio because my parents (age 70+) would be too cold. They assured me that the Blinds were up so was ok. Soon as I sat down they started removing the blinds and it got cold so I requested to move inside. I moved inside and it was cold in there too as they had doors open. Had to ask them to close doors to minimize the draft coming through. Service was a bit slow but the food was awesome as always. And well worth the wait. Their haddock sandwich lunch is amazing!

Had a wonderful dinner on the patio enjoying sunset over the Penobscot River. Our server, Will, was efficient, knowledgable and gracious. We highly recommend McLaughlins!
