Although service can be slow, especially during peak times, the "excellent" waitstaff often shine through. We really enjoyed our goat cheese scramble with potatoes. I like the black rabbit and it’s a great state full for when we are having a spa day at Ruby’s. They are very understaffed right now, so the service was not great, but that was no fault of the servers.

Wonderful wait staff who we wished we could talk with more we liked her so much. What a lovely human being! Food was great - the best burgers with gluten free buns thank you. Good fries - which I have only twice a year now which makes them special. Bolognese pasta dish for my partner was loved. The leftovers were delicious as well:) Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.

Seated immediately with reservation. I’m glad I did because the line was long. I had the Norwegian eggs Benedict which was delicious. The pancakes were less successful. But all in all good foid

We arrived at the Black Rabbit Restaurant right on schedule at 1:30 PM. The interior was dimly lit, but we expected that, given the historic ambiance of the surrounding area, which we were excited to experience as part of our visit. However, upon arrival, the hostess informed us that they were only serving breakfast at that time. While we appreciated her effort to make us aware of other dining options in the area that might cater to a lunch preference, the way it was communicated made us feel unwelcome. Instead of being seated and given the opportunity to view the menu ourselves, it felt as though we were being directed elsewhere before we even had a chance to settle in and decide. We eventually ended up in a different room that offered local beers and a single menu option consisting of typical American fare, mainly burgers and beer. While that may appeal to some, it wasn’t what we were hoping for during our visit to a restaurant we had been excited to try. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of our expectations. We left disappointed, feeling like we may have visited the wrong location or branch of McMenamins. While we won’t return to this particular restaurant, we’re still open to trying another McMenamins location in the future to see if the experience and service are better elsewhere.

Don’t come if you’re in a hurry. Long wait to get seated, long waits to give order etc. it’s a nice place to have a long leisurely meal. Bread/butter basket was bland. Beet salad was really good. Rib eye just average. Good size portions. Drinks were great. Would have loved dessert but after being there almost 2 hours decided not too. Wait staff was professional but overworked.
