Our destination has a dedicated meeting and event space – Old 97 – for 15 to 100 people. We’ll host your next meeting, event or nuptials – we even have doors that open to lanais. The space is fondly named ‘Old 97’ for the railroad switch engine used to disassemble and reassemble train cars on the transfer ferry that crossed the Columbia River at Kalama. Having an event at this new property means enjoying its Island-inspired feel, as it was modeled after the Pioneer Inn on Maui. A few of the unique private events menu items include a Tiki Pupu Party menu with Year of the Dragon Pork Sliders and Egg Rolls; and a North Shore Buffet with Island Slaw, Three Rocks Jerk Chicken and Coconut Shrimp. Contact our sales team to inquire or book your event.

It was a BUSY night with the Christmas ships. I'm glad that we made a reservation on Open Table as we were seated immediately. Service was not fast but it ws to be expected. Food was delicious and drinks were good too!

Love this place. Food and service is consistently good, ambiance is great and the outdoor seating, gardens, heating and fire pits are fantastic. If you like to walk either before or after your reservation, you can walk to either the Ale House (south) or to the Cove (north) along the River and enjoy a drink. Mcmennimins owns all three places and has made the Kalama waterfront a wonderful place to eat, stroll and play.

Our server, neglected to get her name, but had green tips on her hair. Anyhow, she was excellent! Attentive and very communicative. She made our group feel at ease. Thank you!

Typical McMenamins experience (unless you are at the bar top), mediocre food and mediocre service. Friendly server, but nothing special. It’s all about the atmosphere at their locations. It’s been years since their food and service matched the ambiance. But we still go, as we know what we will get and enjoy the atmosphere.

Our server was amazing!!! The food was delicious! We shared a couple appetizers and split the lobster/ shrimp role. We had the tiramisu with an after dinner drink for dessert, it was the perfect end to our dinner date. Everyone we encountered at the lodge was great, we will be back to this McMenamins.

The food and the service were great. The place was busier than we had ever seen it. One strange thing. We made a reservation but when we arrived it was open seating. Fortunetely we were early enough to get a good table.

We stayed at McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge for an anniversary celebration. It was the first time we had ever stayed overnight at a McMenamins‘s property. We were delighted with the experience. While we were there, we ate four meals, all of which were excellent. Portion sizes are generous, and every meal we ate was wonderful. There was a wide variety of menu choices. Every McMenamins employee we interacted with was professional, friendly, and helpful. Our favorite meals were the everything bagel breakfast sandwich, the seasonal fall equinox pizza, and the black and tan brownie. We are looking forward to our next visit.
