   Potential to be amazing, but I was shocked to discover they didn't have any beef brisket or burnt ends left at 6pm on a Saturday. How can a Southern BBQ restaurant run out of brisket and burnt ends at 6pm?! It's like going to McDonald's and them not having any burgers left...

   I went to Meat & Shake on a Friday night with my girlfriend, the restaurant wasn't too packed but had a few people in. We're were treated by an excellent member of staff who was a tall mixedrace male with a beard, very talkative and friendly. We ordered out food and the started arrived promptly and was nice. However a mistake was made with our main meal and only one arrived instead of two we ordered so we then had to wait an extra 5 mins for the other burger which in my opinion was small for the price (rib and cheese). We then ordered desert and had to wait 20 minutes for that as well as a mistake happened with those too and the doughnuts arrived cold. I've been twice before and this didn't happen the other times so may have been a one off but I was a little dis heartened by what happened.

   8 of us attended a reservation for 10 upstairs. Even on an extremely busy Friday night, the staff were very friendly and handled the pressure well. The kitchen did a superb job with our order (I've had less impressive meals here on quiet nights with a party of just 3), it must have been tricky enough to serve up 8 together in good order, let alone on a packed out night. Thanks very much to all the staff for their efforts, we had a great evening that was very much needed!

   Untrained staff manager who does have a clue.brisket of beef bbq for 18 hours turn out to be five thin slices fatty beef in a bland red sauce. There are much better places to go

   Only thing I was disappointed with was the delay in getting our food! It took a veey long time! We were forgotten twice as our bill I had to ask twice for that also! I drove all the way from east london East Ham for this place. Staff was very polite though

   I'd seen some good pictures of the food her and heard good things so was keen to try it. There were so many tempting choices on the menu, I went for the rib burger which was absolutely incredible. I think when I go back I will skip the side orders as the burger alone was plenty. But pricey considering it is burgers but would say it's definitely worth it.

   Burgers were first rate. Shakes especially the salted caramel excellent. Starters good but portion sizes versus cost a little disappointing . Nachos .....inserting as they have their own version, which is not for sharing as portion sizes smaller than average. However,excellent burger and a good size and great value. I'll definitely be back to try the steaks
