MEATliquor N1 inhabits an old Citroen Garage, hidden away just off Upper Street near the Angel Central Shopping Centre and smack bang in the middle of Highbury & Islington and Angel Stations. Just a short walk away from Essex Road and even a short bus ride away from Shoreditch.

Coming to see us before the football? We’re not far from Arsenal Emirates Stadium and offer 20% discount to ticketholders on match days.

We’ve got a big beer garden with loads of space for those looking to drink and dine al-fresco and even a Mezzanine and Private Dining Room both available for Private Hires.

We’ve got a great weekday lunch deal, so if your office is nearby make sure you pay us a visit. If you want to wash it down with a Craft Beer or Cocktail, we promise we won’t tell your boss....

The staff was amazing, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious. 10/10. Would 100% recommend.

We booked this for my son and a few of his mates to celebrate his 18th birthday. They all loved it, he said it was the best food he’d ever eaten! Only slight issue was that I would’ve liked to have paid remotely but was told that I needed to be there to pay. In the end I transferred the money to my son and he paid, as it was his birthday it would’ve been nicer for me to have picked up the tab. Small issue overall this was a very good choice for this occasion.

Visited on a Saturday night and it was fairly quiet. Staff were all really friendly and attentive. Food was great for myself as a vegetarian and excellent burgers for my meat eater partner. Portions were quite generous too. Cocktails were ok, slightly small for the price. Only downside was toilets weren’t very clean. Would visit again and take advantage of the lunch offer they do!

The food is always very tasty, and the service was great. However, the portions have halved in size over the past 12 months. The amount of chicken we received for the Monkey Fingers was very small.

Service was excellent. Food could have been better. Particularly the burgers. Beef was overcooked and bread was hard. Fries, pickles, Mac n cheese and fingers were very nice. Overall expensive meal for fair food quality.

When this restaurant originally opened it was the hottest ticket in town and the food was excellent. We were the only people in the restaurant and still had to wait 15 minutes to be served. The food was tasteless and decidedly average. The restaurant itself felt grubby and loved. It is a shame to see a brand that was so well loved end up this way.
