The hostess was really nice letting me and my boyfriend sit before our reservation but that was the only good thing from last night! We sit in the table and the server came to get our order. Me and my boyfriend were celebrating our first Valentine’s Day together so the night should be really unique. To start, we order of steak was delivered to another table instead of ours and when the lady realized that was too late. Second that we ordered medium rare steak and it came rare (my boyfriend and I are both chefs, so we know what we were dealing with) and fries were extremely salty, we didn’t eat all. The server didn’t come to check the table during the whole 1h30min we were sitting there. When she finally came, we talked to her about everything and she didn’t give me a solution but she asked “is there anything I can do for you?” “Do you want me to cook your steak again?”, instead of removing the plate and solving the problem, she wanted us to give her a solution. At the end, we just asked for the check and left. Definitely not coming back after our night was ruined. I was so looking forward to go and eat after 5 people telling me I should visit the restaurant.

I’ve always enjoyed this restaurant, but my recent experience left me confused about the seating process. When I arrived for my indoor reservation for two, I was told that no tables were available inside and was offered seating at the bar. I politely reiterated that I had booked an indoor table, and as I looked around, I noticed several unoccupied tables, including a large one for eight and another for four. After some back and forth, the hostess eventually seated us upstairs in the back. However, during my meal, I noticed multiple open tables for two, which made me question why I was initially told there was no availability. While I love this restaurant, the seating process felt inconsistent. I’d appreciate some clarification on how reservations are handled.

The set menu was not what we were expecting. I usually go to a steakhouse and expect more than fries and paper thin slices cold pieces of steak. The bread (course 1) was delicious. Course 2 (salad) was over dressed. The main course (paper thin sliced steak with string French Fries ) was cold & way over seasoned. When it was time for desert I was hungry & looking forward to the chocolate cake, but they were out so I opted for an expresso martini. It was just yuck! Coffee was either instant or burnt- either way just don’t get it. My hubby had the Carrot cake & said it was good.

Made a reservation about two weeks in advance and waited 45 minutes to be told that they over booked and didn’t know when we would be seated.

Love the brunch menu here. Only downside are the premade mimosas. For someone who is borderline for high glucose and A1C, having so much orange juice premade is a risk. So, I always have to purchase a bottle of champagne to cut down on their premixed mimosas. Not worth the risk of all that sugar. But, always a fun time with friends there for sure.

Service was good. Felicia is delightful. The salad was spot-on and the steak was good, but the fries weren’t great and the sauce was scorched. I’m a chef; when my cooks scorch a sauce, it goes in the trash; either the kitchen staff at Med Rare didn’t realize it or didn’t care. Not realizing is hard, though, when the bottom of the pot in which the sauce was heated is covered in a layer of carbon a half-inch thick. Ice cream sundae was icy AF, meaning the ice cream thawed and was re-frozen, and the chocolate cake was drier than usual. When you, literally, only do one thing, it’s important to do it consistently, and they fell way short of this last night. Food has been much better in the past.

A nice concept. Enjoyed the salad. The steak is ok but not great. It would be better if they served a skirt or flap steak. The sirloin is just soso. The fries were very good.
