Nestled in the heart of downtown Asheville, decorated with carvings, and statues imported from India. Mëhfil brings you authentic Indian food in a beautifully relaxed atmosphere.
Come enjoy a casual meal with friends or a celebration with your loved ones. Either way, you'll be taken care of by our knowledgeable and friendly team. We take pride in what we serve and how we serve it - Good Food and Great Service. We also offer takeout, delivery, catering and in Jul 2023 we have added Mow, Mehfil on Wheels, a food truck serving Mehfil food. Mow is a regular at the local breweries and can even come in to your neighborhood. Our signature dishes include the lamb chops, goat curry, deluxe mixed grill-an assortment of lamb and chicken seekh kebab, tandoori shrimp and lamb chops. No one does the tandoor as good us and our awards are testimony to that.

Food and service is excellent. Restaurant is small and gets rather loud. Will definitely go back and certainly recommend it.

We had an excellent dinner tonight. It was our second time to eat at Mehfil, and we definitely plan to return. The menu was extensive and our server was fantastic.

Once again enjoyed a great meal at Mehfil. Raj and the entire staff are always warm and welcoming and that goes along with some of the best Indian food I can find anywhere. Enjoyed taking my oldest son who loves Indian food. He stated that he can never eat another biryani dish without thinking about Mehfil. Thank You!

We go regularly to the restaurant and it's always a great experience. The food is prepared exactly like requested and the staff is very friendly. It's a go to for us when we crave Indian food.

The food was excellent and true Indian cuisine. Service was attentive. I asked for their Old-fashioned with Half simple syrup and chili bitters. After tasting it two other people in the family ordered it. The saag naan appetizer had plentiful stuffing. The sauces on the chicken and goa fish curry were amazing. Sag paneer was puka. The lighting was too bright for my taste. Our birthday persone was given a gulabjameen for five (the number of our party). It was just the right texture and sweetness

Always enjoy taking friends here to introduce them to Mehfil’s as the reaction is always the same! “ This is the best Indian food” was the most repeated comment and last. Try the Peshawar Naan and Chicken Badam Korma!

This is absolutely the best Indian food in Asheville; we have tried all the others and there is no comparison. The owner, Raj, goes out of his way to make each visit feel as if I'm having dinner at my favorite relative's house. He remembers every detail about our preferences, including our preferred seating location, as well as the level of spice we prefer. The lamb chops are always an absolute favorite, as is the Lamb Badam Korma and the onion kulcha. Last night we tried the mango shrimp tandoori: it was absolutely delicious and also a generous portion. I don't think I've ever seen one employee without a huge smile on their face. Can't wait to go back.
