The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. It will lean vegetable-forward with modernized Greek classics from the sea and grilled meats. Greek cuisine is all about freshness and quality of ingredients and that will be on display in a fine casual setting.

The cod and market fish special were excellent. We started with the two different salads. We ended with the donuts, which were a bit much and not super special. We would have preferred a different dessert. We were celebrating an anniversary, and they did make it special with a bit of sparkling wine and a sparkler on the table, as well as a card. We saw a number of special celebrations for birthdays and such nearby. It is a nice place for a special night.

First time having Jordan as a server, and she was just great. Had dinner and a birthday celebration for my dad, and the staff was wonderful as always. Food is exceptional.

We started with the bread platter with hummus, and it was good. The lattes were also good. Two of us had food sensitivities, and they were attentive to it. I had the crab shakshouka, and it was delicious. Someone else had the lamb pita, and it was tender and tasty.

First time here and it was a great experience. We liked all the food we had. As starters octopus and beef tartare (not really classic way of preparing it, has a lot of tomato sauce, but tasty). Mains were mushroom souvlaki, half chicken and shrimp. All wonderful. No space for dessert. Will try next time, because there definitely will be a next time.

I have been to Melina many times and this time the experience was very disappointing. Our server was not attentive at all. We sat for a long time with dirty dishes. Had to chase down servers for salt, silverware etc. our food took a long time to get and was not hot. The quality of the food snd level of service has gone downhill.

Wonderful as always. The grilled shrimp and gem salad remain our favorites.

Unfortunately we had to rush to leave after 2 hours . I wish we could have a table for at least 2.5 hours

Was greeted and sat immediately by a friendly host, and the overall staff was friendly as well. Our server was very helpful and patient, and took care of us very well. Food was delicious, it was brunch and they had a nice variety of options, just wished they had some bacon ..lol.. but was not a deal breaker. Loved the crispy potatoes and the spare ribs and eggs.

The food at melina is truly unique. I had Crab Shakshuka which was very unusual and delicious. My companion had their version of Eggs Benedict. It was a bit noisy, but overall a super experience.
