The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. It will lean vegetable-forward with modernized Greek classics from the sea and grilled meats. Greek cuisine is all about freshness and quality of ingredients and that will be on display in a fine casual setting.

    Impeccable service. Welcoming staff and atmosphere. Brilliant sauces. The house-made bread is wonderful, as is the baked squash dish. Desserts are divine (the custard and ice cream -wow!). Portions might be a tad bigger, but were delicious (lamb skewer and baked cod). I wish I didn't have to speak without raising my voice (perhaps a bit of sound abatement would help?). All in all, a lovely dining experience.

    The lamb pita was quite good as were the crispy potatoes and slaw. The food was very slow to arrive and we believe the dish was sitting out a while before coming to us as the food was tepid at best.

    Melina has become a favorite in our family and we had a wonderful experience celebrating my mom's birthday there. They even gave her a birthday card and made the dining experience enjoyable from start to finish.

    Melina is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Everything there is delicious. Favorites of ours are the lamb neck, short rib orzo, and squash appetizer. The Greek wines are wonderful too.
