The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. It will lean vegetable-forward with modernized Greek classics from the sea and grilled meats. Greek cuisine is all about freshness and quality of ingredients and that will be on display in a fine casual setting.

    Great, unique Greek inspired food. Loved the fact that nothing was over salted, a common issue with many Greek restaurants. The lamb neck was to die for!

    This is the absolutely best restaurant in Pike and Rose complex. The food is beyond prepared to perfection and the service is like you are the only ones in the house. Pamper yourself and go enjoy!

    What a lovely evening we had at Melina. Our server Brianna was so attentive in celebrating a birthday. Food was excellent as usual. Thank you for a great experience.

    In two recent experiences at Melina, the service has been noteworthy! Don’t sleep on the spinach salad, cauliflower or the tuna crudo.

    Our third meal there, and everything is consistently delicious. Keep in mind that some things (cauliflower, slow-roasted lamb neck) are MUCH larger than others (roasted carrots, cavatelli with shrimp), and are best shared by a large group. It's easy to order too much food, and much of it does not travel well as leftovers.

    Melina excellent dining experience as always. The service was superb (thank you Genesis). There to celebrate my husband’s birthday which the staff recognized with complimentary glasses of Proseco & a lovely card. Food is delicious. Excellent customer service. Thank you.

    Impeccable service. Welcoming staff and atmosphere. Brilliant sauces. The house-made bread is wonderful, as is the baked squash dish. Desserts are divine (the custard and ice cream -wow!). Portions might be a tad bigger, but were delicious (lamb skewer and baked cod). I wish I didn't have to speak without raising my voice (perhaps a bit of sound abatement would help?). All in all, a lovely dining experience.
