   Apps and House bread weee Some of the best ever! Our server was great as was the atmosphere. Entrees were very good, almost great! Loved the vibe as well. Look forward to our next visit!

   Four of us enjoyed a very good dinner at Mercato. It was the first time my husband and I had eaten there. Our server was cheerful and attentive. My only issue was that my credit card was not returned immediately. I am not sure the cause, but she came to our table and asked if anyone was missing a card after we had paid. Mine was missing but apparently there was a card back wherever cards are run through. I was glad this was discovered before I left but am puzzled about why it wasn’t returned to me when it should have been. The food was excellent: I had the Branzino and my husband had the lasagne. The Branzino was even better than what I had in California recently! The lasagne was delicious and he will enjoy it again since he brought some home. We do intend to visit Mercato again, but I must say I prefer the European manner of bringing a device to the table for using credit cards. That way a person’s card is never out of sight.

   An enjoyable experience. The pizzas are outstanding and a large selection of gluten free food choices. Come in for Sunday and Monday 1/2 priced wine. Also, the happy hour is not to be missed.

   The food was good but the atmosphere was strange. It was quite dark in there. The music was way too loud. This is not some dark euro disco, it's a restaurant where people want to talk. As we were leaving, I overheard someone at a table mention to their party that was music was loud. Suit and tie guy (manager/owner?) should talk to people and not just walk around the place continually. Again, food and service was good but the rest of the experience was a little weird.

   Just wasn’t impressed with the quality of the food tonight. Octopus appetizer was mostly potatoes and not much flavor. The filet mignon panini was hard to even bite! Not like an filet I’ve ever eaten before 🤷‍♀️

   Drinks: BEAUTIFUL; had espresso martini, Nutella version & Aperol spritz Meal: AMAZING; had Ricotta gnocchi, they were the lightest fluffiest I have ever had in my life! Ragu sauce with the stracciatella chz, simply delicious! Dessert: 3 layer cake with raspberry jam and gelato was beautifully presented, cake was still a bit frozen, but yummy. Service from server very good. My only complaint was the male hostess greeter who seated us was an unfriendly, unwelcoming grump. Come on man! SMILE when you greet people! Also reservation was made with "birthday" as special occasion, which was not even acknowledged by anyone. Not even sure why they bother asking on open table reservation system. Atmosphere: TERRIFIC, loved the rustic vibe Overall great dinner experience!!
