Le Mercat a La Planxa vous propose une extraordinaire sélection de tapas à base de charcuterie et de fromages à la coupe, de fruits de mer frais, de steaks et de côtelettes, toutes inspirées de la gastronomie catalane en Espagne. Le menu impressionnant met l'accent sur des viandes et fruits de mer servis « à la plancha » ou grillés sur commande. Le bar sert une gamme alléchante de boissons de saison, notamment de sangrias et de cocktails de style espagnol. Par ailleurs, il propose une sélection de cavas d'Espagne ainsi qu'une quarantaine de grands crus espagnols disponibles au verre ou à la bouteille. Le restaurant possède deux salles privées à l'étage, La Veranda et la Barcelona Room. En outre, le salon situé au rez-de-chaussée peut également être réservé pour des réceptions privées.

The waitress was horrible. She was rude, inattentive and impatient with us. She also seemed impaired. It really overshadowed the experience.

The food here is absolutely exceptional! Definitely the best seafood paella I have had outside of Spain. The beet salad was also delicious, as were the shrimp and patatas bravas. I cannot wait to go back and try more things off of the menu! Highly highly recommend for an amazing culinary experience. They even brought us complimentary cava for our anniversary!

Food was a bit of a hit or miss. Iberico ham was good (couldn’t go wrong there), the calamari were also good, the mains though not great. The chicken was beautifully moist but the sauce was bot enough salty / savory and the branzino filets were really thin and overcooked. The service was relatively fast but the waiter seemed she really wanted to be somewhere else….maybe understandably, as it was Valentine’s Day. Overall, I would not return.

12/10 experience! My boyfriend and I come to Mercat every year for our anniversary and our server Jeff made this year truly memorable. He was very informative answering questions about the menu. He made us feel comfortable and taken care of, despite it appearing to be very busy. He was personable and it was very enjoyable to chat with him throughout the evening. The server’s assistants also helped make the night special. We had the Valentine’s Day menu which had 3 courses to it. Each course was delivered accurately in a timely fashion. After each course our silverware was changed and empty plates removed from the table promptly. We love Mercat and we come back every year because we love the food! This Valentines tasting menu absolutely blew us away. Each course was more fantastic than the last. My favorite was the lobster fideua, the bold barbaque peppery flavor of the vegetables and pasta combined with the tender subtle lobster was unparalleled to anything I’ve ever tasted before. My boyfriend deeply enjoyed the imberico tenderloin and brava sauce. The plates not only tasted amazing but they looked visually stunning. We eat with our eyes first, and each time a new course was delivered to the table I was in awe of the culinary craftsmanship of each the dishes. Overall, the entire Mercat ala planxa team goes above and beyond to provide exceptional food and service, guaranteeing a uniquely memorable dining experience every time. I will make it a priority to visit more than on our anniversary. Thank you to the whole team who made this possible. The only thing left I have to say is, how doesn’t this restaurant have a Michelin star yet? I think they deserve 3 at the very least.

Octopus, empanadas and garlic shrimp are excellent. Wine list is really great. I’d skip the patatas bravas and chicken skewers next time. We’ll be back.

Great Valentines dinner. Metcats special tasting foods were outstanding. Highly recommend for all special occasions.
