   A great concept but very limited menu. Removed a favorite-the squash-and substituted it with an easier to prepare dish. Five skinny slices of Prager Brothers bread for $4.00 was excessive.

   Lovely space, beautiful decor, and overall great ambiance. Limited menu, wine is expensive (more so than many places- $22 glass is least pricey), food portions small, 2 of us dinner+ 1 glass of wine, $110, and we ordered pizza on the way home.

   The level of attention in this place is next level. All the details and the lovely staff . We’ll be coming back in no time. Highly reccomend for a date or anytime for that matter :)

   My GF found this place as it was my Birthday a month ago, since it is half way between our places. Nice ambiance, good wine selection and the staff was very attentive and engaging. Food selection was great and enjoyed. To the point we returned the other night and it was excellent again. We will return and partake in some good food and libations again. Thanks Merenda!

   Merenda has quickly become my new favorite restaurant in Oceanside. It has been open for a little over a month and l've already returned five times! Everything from the atmosphere to the wine to the service is exemplary. The attention to detail and the knowledge and service from the sommeliers and servers is top-notch. Special shout out to Kiko who went above and beyond, remembering my dietary restriction from a previous visit to let me know that one of the dishes I ordered didn't align with my diet, and also recommended wine based off of what I ordered before! Amazing memory and service.

   I recently visited Merenda Wine Bar, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who appreciates quality wine , the staff is friendly and is passionate about sharing it with their guests. The wine selection at Merenda is unique, featuring wines that are grower producer wines, natural, and many are female owned, they feature wines that you won’t find at just any establishment. While some may have noted a corkage fee, it’s essential to understand that when you pay retail price, it feels incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality of the wine . Merenda is primarily a wine bar that serves sharing plates—perfect for pairing with your glass (or bottle!) of wine. I found it ideal to either visit before or after dinner, as the atmosphere is perfect for a lovely pre or post dinner conversation What makes Merenda even more special is it is Opened by a local Oceanside resident, it fills a void in the area—offering something completely unique.    Cute wine bar with good tapas style dishes. Service was excellent. Great selection of wines for purchase or consumption (with a $15 corkage).

    Very snooty staff. We had reservations at 4pm outside. The have 2 metal tables on the sidewalk on a very noisy street. At 358 we opened the door and a staff member said u can't come in until 4! Restaurant was empty. Food was super expensive and a thinly slice trout not for me. 79 dollars for 2 glasses of wine and 2 slices of cheese. Super loud inside.
