   This was our first year doing Merriman's Thanksgiving Prix Fixe Menu and it did not disappoint. The service from the staff was amazing from the hostess to the food runners. Everything ordered was tasty and the wine pairings were on point. Definitely would recommend for your next Holiday evening.

   We have had great food at Merriman’s but I must say that the Thanksgiving food was of a very poor quality. It was like we had been at a cafeteria line. Nothing tasted great and for that price it was awful. The yams were the consistency of stewed tomatoes, the cranberry sauce tasted more like pineapple sauce, the green beans were extremely spicy so we didn’t eat them, I couldn’t find much goat cheese in my beet salad and my chocolate purse was very hard. With the tip and one non-alcoholic drink we spent over $300 and I couldn’t find much have gone to a fine dining restaurant for that amount.

   This is my go to place for Thanksgiving and New Years! This Thanksgiving I was very dissapointed. My bill came out $403.00 and change for 2 people inclusive of tip. I had the wine pairing with dinner. The wines didn't come out with the food. My turkey plate was cold so I requested another plate meanwhile my son had to wait almost 15 min before I told him to go ahead and eat. My first plate arrived initially but I had no cutlery. The server said that she would be back and didn't return until after about 10 minutes. So I sent my Turkey plate back and waited for a new plate. I thought that I was supposed to get a wine pairing with each plate? Our reservations were for 630pm. I called ahead to say thar we were running late. Arrived at 650pm. We ere seated just after 7pm We didn't leave until around 930pm. We had reservations for outside seating. Service was poor from our server. She only checked on us once after I received my dinner. We waited quite a while for desert. She (server) was quick with my coffee and baileys then again had to wait for the check. I will never request outside seating. We always had great service inside seating. I was dissapointed with the price of $125.00 per person, the wine pairings(only three). The desert wine was terrible. I didn't finish it. I wanted to know what red wine was served? To top it off, no turkey sandwich to go. For amount that I paid, everything except food taste was sorely lacking! I may gave to reconsider attending Thanksgiving next year!

   We went for special Thanksgiving menu and tried a variety of things! All was delicious and the surprise take away turkey sandwich for tomorrow's lunch was an extra, unexpected touch that put the experience over the top!

   We always sit outside at Merriman’s because it’s way too noisy inside. This time we were seated in the area that, even with an umbrella, got way too much sun from about 4 PM. We had a table of four and one or more of us nearly always had to deal with the sun and our eyes. And all other respects, our experience was excellent, as it has been in the past. The food there is remarkably good, and so is the service. I’ll be back for sure.

   Had the Thanksgiving fixed menu lunch. Everything was delicious. The poke was tasty, the biscuits always win, and everyone enjoyed their choices. Jackson, our server was patient, attentive, and got everything right! Merriman’s remains a favorite.

   Merriman’s Honolulu never disappoints! The food is always outstanding and the staff go above and beyond with everything they do. My wife and I decided to dine here for Thanksgiving and our server, Ryan, made us feel like family from start to finish. The food was delicious and perfectly paired with wine for each course. Merriman’s continues to be one of our all time favorite restaurants on Oahu!

   Our waiter was attentive and personable. The food was emasculate. Clean, fresh and tasted wonderful. The coconut lime sorbet was the best I’ve had in my life ever! Highly recommend!
