    The food was unique and delicious. I suggest the bao buns to start. The shrimp and grits were so flavorful and the rum cake for dessert was incredible. Our servers were attentive and possessed a wealth of knowledge. AND THEN THERE WAS THE RUM… or I should say rums. So many rums. Each one better than the next. You will not go wrong choosing this place.

    This was the second time I dined at Mesob prior to going to a show at the Uptown. Both times the food was absolutely delicious! The food presentation was lovely. Great variety of caribbean and Ethiopian dishes and a wonderful drink and wine selection. We will be coming back.

    This was our first visit to Mesob. We loved all of the food we ate. We had crab cakes, shrimp and grits, and the doro tibs. Service was a little slow and the restaurant wasn't overly busy. Servers were all friendly and the overall atmosphere was great for our date night with the exception being the bar TV was on a bounty hunter show. It just seemed a little out of place for the vibe of the restaurant. But you couldn't hear it so no problem to ignore it. We would definitely visit again.

    Some of the best food I’ve ever had. The ribs were phenomenal. We will be back on our next trip to KC.

    We’ve been here many times, usually as a dinner before going across the street to the Uptown Theater. The food has mostly been good but the service, while always very polite, is just too slow and inattentive. This last visit the wait staff was also bartending which made matters worse. We ordered a starter and the mains came out first, so we canceled the starter. I hope this restaurant succeeds because the good is good (often great) but the service needs to be faster and more attentive. Regarding the food: my dish (salmon awaze tibs) was great but my wife’s (house chicken) was bland and dry. First time either of us had food that wasn’t good or great.

    My Wife and I were there celebrating 23yrs of Marriage. Very nice atmosphere. Our food was great and Our waitress was nice and very knowledgeable of the food on the menu. We will be back there soon.

    The good was delicious! I had a Caribbean dish and my husband had Ethiopian. Highly recommend for an experience that will remind you of being on an island or on your favorite vacation. Loved every moment of it! We will be back again soon! Thank you to Eden for an amazing service, recommendations, and for making the experience such a fantastic one!
