   We flew from Georgia to visit my daughter and to try the pasta flight at Messina! Sadly around 21 minutes before our dinner time they cancelled the pasta flight service for the evening. However the food was amazing!! Every single dish was EXCELLENT!!!! The wait staff was phenomenal and fun to talk to. 10/10 would recommend!!! I will say that the host was kinda rude and a little short with us when we were asking about the discontinued flight service. Not what you expect at the front of the restaurant greeting people and setting the tone. Everything after that canceled her out thankfully!!

   The food was great. The server only checked on us a few times and didn’t get the second round of drinks we ordered. It wasn’t even busy. We ended up having to flag another waitress to get our original server.

   We ordered the pasta flight that everyone raves about and it was average at best. Portions were decent but not sure I would ever order it again. Service was good and our server was knowledgeable. The 22% service charge in the check that they claim is to pay their servers above average wages appears to be a quick way to make the owner some extra cash. The staff make it very clear that the servers do not see any of it and it is not in anyway a tip. So realistically if you get good service plan on paying 40% more than what the bill is.

   Restaurant should invest in changing tables for babies in their bathrooms. I had to walk across the street to the grocery store in the middle of dinner to change my baby, ruined the experience.

   We are in town for the weekend, and I came across this pasta board online and we just had to get it! When we were seated at a table in the corner, it was so dark. I can not stand eating in the dark. I would have loved to see the beautiful presentation of the food… the lovely waitress turned the lights up for us and with in 5 mins they were turned down again, we had the flashlights on our phones practically the whole time. The food was okay. I was disappointed with the quality… it was fine overall.

   Would we go back, yes. The pasta was good and it seems like it would be a great place to bring a group of people for the pasta flight and some apps. However, we were sat right under a speaker and it was pretty loud. Also, the pasta on the board could have been warmer, but it’s on a board what do you do. Also I will say the waiter tried to discourage us from the flight because it fed 4-6 people…not sure it would actually feed 4-6 people with just the flight. Why question people if they want to order it? Almost every table ordered the flight while we were there.

   We shared to flight and I really liked 2 of 5 had several bites and enjoyed 3,and 4, but the carbonara which I usually love was tasteless and disappointing. Homemade pasta elevated the meal, but it was over $200 for 2 beers, a side of bread and a pasta flight- no salad, no dessert- pretty steep. Cute inside, fun presentation- fun if splitting with a bigger group.

   The flavors were ok but not abundant. 27-35$ for a 1/3 bowl of pasta is a bit much even in Seattle. The bread was on point for crust to soft ratio but lacked the Truffle flavor that we paid for. 21$ for a Mezcal seemed steep until k saw that it was a whole drink, not a shot. The staff were attentive. The music spunky and not too loud.

    Food was delicious. The service was great. Servers were attentive and thoughtful. Food was good quality and had good portion size for the cost.
