Meta Restaurant in Oceanside is the supreme Long Island dining experience. It is the perfect gathering place for friends, family, or clients - everyone who appreciates great food. It has been ZAGAT Rated as one of the Best Italian Restaurants on Long Island since the doors opened in September of 2000.

Owned by Chef Roberto Bosotina, every meal at Meta is prepared with the finest quality foods, cooked to perfection and served by the friendly, knowledgeable staff. The full and extensive menu, aside from the signature daily house specialties of three oven roasted fish, succulent duck, and baby pork osso bucco, is rich in antipasti, unique salads, seafood specialties, mouth-watering meats, and delicious desserts. Chef Roberto believes that good food equals good times. And a good time is guaranteed every time you dine at Meta. Our first visit to Meta in 2025 and I am happy to say, nothing has changed! You know the expression if it ain't broke, don't fix it, well that applies perfectly here. Sorry I missed seeing Michele, but happy to see Hector, who we hadn't seen in a while. Six great dinners and six happy people. See you again soon. Stu

Awesome!! From the moment we walk in and welcomed by gracious host Michelle who always finds us a great table….to our server Adam who has full knowledge of the menu and daily specials… and helps us with suggestions and has the food prepared to our liking!!! Great service!! And as always owner Roberto who checks on all his guests and makes us feel At Home!!!👍

Always a pleasure to go to this restaurant. Food, and our waiter, Adam are both always perfect. The rest of the staff is also beyond pleasant. NEVER DISAPPOINTED ‼️

I like this restaurant but was disappointed with the hostess and that soured my experience. The hostess was not cordial and just pointed us to our table.

Was recommended by the waitress to get the special Osso Buco and ordered it. It was 6 PM I then was told they had no more. How do you run out if you just opened an hour earlier? I then ordered Shrimp that I have had many times. It was very disappointing. It had no taste. I go there quite often and this time very disappointed

My family made a reservation for late on valentines day. The place was cozy and the service was excellent, even during what you could tell was the tail end of dinner service. We didn’t feel rushed and we were allowed to enjoy our meal, which was delicious, while relaxing and enjoying the company of family. Someone who I assume was either the manager or the owner checked on every table when we were there and was super friendly.

My wife and I last dined at Meta a year ago, so we made a last-minute reservation on a Friday night. Once again, we were pleased with the food and the service. Calamari to share, Parpadelle for her, Rockfish for me, and we were very satisfied. Mario was our waiter and did a great job! Looking forward to returning again soon.

What a wonderful treat having dinner at Meta! The food was exceptional. Three seafood dishes were all said to be perfect and the eggplant parmigiana as well. Wonderful service and nice wine list is a bonus. Highly recommended!
