Mia's Italian Kitchen, located at the riverside end of King Street in Old Town Alexandria, is rooted in family. Our menu is filled with homestyle traditional Italian recipes sourced from owner Dave Nicholas' Sicilian grandmother. An elegant wine list accompanies beer and craft cocktails on the beverage menu. Dine downstairs and watch the signature Sicilian-style rectangular pizzas cook in the 800-degree brick oven, or upstairs to view the energetic open kitchen. Open for lunch and dinner, plus bottomless weekend brunch.

The food was outstanding. The pizzas and chicken Parmigiana were really good. We had the apple donuts and warm chocolate cake for dessert. Service was impeccable and the ambience is really nice.

Dinner was exceptional; it was highly flavorful and nicely portioned. The noise level was slightly louder than l liked, but l could converse moderately with the friend l was dining with. Our server wasn't ascattentive and forgot to put in an appetizer we wanted to try, but did his best to accommodate for the error. Overall, the entire dining experience was pleasurable, and l look forward to dinning there again very soon!

Our first time in Old Town Alexandria and as I looked f dining destinations on open table Mia’s had good reviews. Well it did not live up to the posted reviews. From the moment we walked in my gut told me to leave. Service was mediocre at best and our first beverage took forever to come out. Our burrata appetizer was good but entrees were average at most. Food temperature was warm. Food appeared to be prepared ahead of time and then nuked. I would have rather waited 5-10 minutes longer for freshly prepared food as opposed to food coming out in 5 minutes and lukewarm at best.

Dinner was delicious! Service was great! Highly recommend the herb garlic bread and chicken parmigiana. We had other items that were all delicious, but these were outstanding.

Bad experience from service. We tipped less than 10% but should have been $0 !!! 1. Was not attentive of our table. 2. Did not refill water. 3. We got the check without him even asking us if we wanted something else. 4. I ordered meat, he didn’t ask what temperature I wanted. 5. He left our desserts sitting in another table with ppl walking by the table. 6. He had a quite passive aggressive attitude. 7. Didn’t communicate well. Food in the other had was pretty good. I ordered the roasted garlic with bread as appetizer. I tasted someone else’s risotto and it was delicious!!! Best I’ve ever tasted. I also ordered the CALABRIA ROSA cocktail. It was very refreshing. It paired very well with the appetizer.

This was our second visit to Mia’s and we were impressed once again! My wife had the Rigatoni con Funghi and I had the Pasta alla Zozzona. Both meals were fantastic! We paired this with a bottle of Montepulciano. And, as it was my wife’s birthday, our server, Chris, treated her to a complimentary tiramisu. Chris was very attentive and friendly - great service! We will be going back!
