   We had the Sunday roast and I think it was the best roast I’ve had. I had chicken and my partner had the beef. So good. We ate in the Bistro will table service and the staff were great. Great atmosphere

   Great venue, we ate early so service was fast. The bar got busy though. Vibe is cool and we all loved the food. Well done 👏

   Seems to be trying to present as an a la carte dining experience when meals are traditional pub food with fancy prices. Beware of 10% surcharge on food AND drinks on weekends (not just public holidays). The surcharge on drinks is mentioned on the drinks menu but not on the food menu or on booking website.

   Very long wait time, well over an hour, food was then rushed when i prompted the staff that we hadn't had any food yet and although they offered to give 20% off or provide a free drink, by the time the 2 meals arrived we had lost our appetite. There was then 10 minutes of confusion regarding the bill from the staff, and the toilets were very dirty - no soap left, and boxes of tissues in place due to no paper towel. So disappointing as we'd come for the famous weekend roast lunch, and there was only 3 slices of chewy thin beef after waiting all that time. On the plus side, the cauliflower cheese was lovely as was the lady who served us and apologised profusely for the situation.

   Poor Service & average food. Waiting almost an hour to receive entrees and main courses at the same time. Big drop in service level from a bar I have been attending for many years

   We love coming to Micawber Tavern, my favourite is salt and vinegar onion rings and the chicken roast with Yorkshire pudding , it’s always good!

    Food was delicious, however steaks a bit overcooked. We were a table of 8 though so understandable to a degree. Beware of getting a parking spot during peak busy times, we had to circle the parking lot continuously for 20 minutes. Made us late for our reservation so had to run in and advise staff. One male staff member in particular was incredibly helpful and took care of us very well, the woman operating bar outside was a bit cold no smiles or customer service vibes. Scenery was beautiful and very well decorated and lovely atmosphere. Outside dining area is heated and perfect even during a cooler night. Overall I would go back, however perhaps during a quieter time for a lunch perhaps, as the place was so busy it was hard to move around the venue
