Beginning with a few classic recipes culled from our chef’s family and friends, the menu captured the true spirit of Mexico. And its authentic style drew a loyal following of those in search of Sonoran grilled swordfish tacos, sizzling sirloin fajitas, and spicy rich chicken mole.

Over three decades, our signature friendly service and festive decor have made Miguel’s a San Diego tradition for locals and visitors alike. Our commitment to artisan cuisine has only grown stronger. We dined at 4pm and the restaurant was relatively empty and as result our service was poor. Initially, we were ignored then eventually greeted by a friendly server but he seemed more interested in getting it over with than serving us. We had to ask for water, he admitted to forgetting to enter one of our orders and asked us twice while eating if we wanted boxes. I get it. We came at an off time but I expected better. However, the food is great and the views are nice. I’ll give it another try but if service isn’t better then I’m out.

We like Miguel's but this visit seemed a little off. My ahi tacos were very dry and the visit seemed as if it wasn't a high end restaurant on the harbor. Seemed too commercialized.

Just writing this review for other OpenTable users. Food and service were pretty standard and view is great, but it states that you can use your OpenTable points at this location and you cannot and the staff is unaware of how to remove the option; so just a heads up.

Beautiful views of the San Diego Bay. The food was decent, but nothing was incredible. The server was nice, but was rarely around when we needed something.

We were a party of 3. We had an incredible time at Miguel’s! The shrimp quesadilla was outstanding, and we also loved the salsa, queso, and guacamole—everything was fresh and flavorful. The tequila shots of Lalo were perfect and added to the great vibe. Our waiter, Emiliano, was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. His service really elevated the experience. Overall, we had an amazing evening and can’t wait to come back!

Excellent service. Ambience was nice. Food was ok to good. Had swordfish tacos. Fish was lukewarm but tasty. Beans and rice were a tad too salty for me. My wife had chopped salad with chicken. The salad was fresh but the chicken excessively dry. Although this review is not 5 stars, I will be back to try other dishes. I’ve been here numerous times and it has always been very good
