   When we arrived at our scheduled time of 7:15 we were told that they only schedule on the hour and they would do us a favor and find us a table. Once seated we ordered our meal and after an hour I finally complained to the staff that nobody had arrived to cook our food. Shortly after, a chef arrived and did a wonderful job. The food is delicious. Once the bill came I noticed that the restaurant charges 200 pesos per bottle of water for the large size bottle. We were charged approximately $45 (conversation rate) for the four bottles we consumed. The price was never disclosed on the menu. Otherwise the food is reasonably priced and of good quality.

   Restaurant looked great after the renovation and reopening. Excellent service and food was even better.

   Please be aware the Teppenyaki grills are-not open now, so you do not get the show of the chef cooking. However prices are still quite expensive, even though they just bring the food to you like an ordinary restaurant. Sushi and appetizers very good. Main course (teppenyaki dishes) were very bland and overcooked

   Always a great dinner. They are doing renovations right now so they had us in a different area with a smaller menu but everything was still wonderful.

   We eat here every year at least once when we visit. Great food and service. Highly recommend anyone staying at or near the Marriott resort to have dinner here.

   We live in the area, guests in town, planned the Japanese Steakhouse experience. Booked rez through website. Restaurant is closed, so is Sports Bar/Restaurant … no mention of it on website nor in automated rez. They mocked up a coffee shop in an attempt to pull it off. Horrible does not describe it. My wife’s was so bad she sent it back and while they didn’t charge her the website should have reflected the facility was closed. Sold out hotel … management should be better than this. If I wanted a coffee shop that’s where I would have gone. Very disappointed ! I’ve had a similar experience in their Sports Bar/ Restaurant. Won’t be back. Marriott experience … not here !!

   The restaurant demonstrates a 15 page menu on Open Table. When we arrived for our reservation the menu was only 3 pages. 1st disappointment! 2nd issue was my rib eye steak lacked any concept of tenderness. The only good part of the meal was the small ramekin of plantains. 3rd I had to skip for a refill on my glass of water twice.

   Main food was ok but service was amazing. Guava cheesecake was amazing - well worth a visit. Would be better if air conditioned the dining area as was very humid.

    A couple restaurants are under construction. It's not stated on any sites, to know before. I don't think they knew what waiter has certain tables. Waited a long time for a drink, before they figured it out. Moving people to different location. But it's not the same. The feel and ambiance is not right. Our orders came out wrong, but they fixed it. Need to notify people making reservations on open table, so they can decide if they want to go there. Should have completed the work before busy season. The dates provided seem a little late. All other restaurants are affected, while the sports bar and Mikado were not available. I hope it's better than before, but we won't return until the work is completed
