   First time here and we will definitely be back!! Ryan took such good care of our party of four... probably the best service I have ever experienced! Portions were delicious and generous and made for a great lunch the next day.

   Mikes Italian Kitchen is an outstanding experience in Italian cuisine!… I compare it to some of the finest restaurants in the North End of Boston!… I’ve been there twice now and have truly enjoyed both visits!… I wish they’d open a branch in my town in Florida!

   We went on a busy Saturday night. Had a reservation but were able to get 2 seats at the bar. I had the veal saltimbocca and my wife ordered the grilled chicken amalfi. Both were great, my only complaint was that she ordered the grilled chicken amalfi without olives and you guessed it, it came with olives. Luckily it was a preference issue and not an allergy issue.

   We were first time customers. The ambience was nice and our waitress was super nice. Unfortunately the food was sub par at best and it was the first lasagna I ever had that was so burnt on top and edges that I couldn't cut through the noodle! Waitress saw this and apologized and brought it back, then a longggg wait while other lasagna's were served so my husband ate alone and my meal came after 25 minutes! The appetizer was the shrimp and potato... the shrimp were tough and almost not edible either, forgot to serve bread until after salad and appetizer were almost gone. We had high hopes for this restaurant and will not be back. They did comp the two lasagnas (we didn't ask them to) but the evening was awkward at best.. This was all on the kitchen, not the waitress who was doing her best in an awkward situation and was very sweet.

   Our server was very inattentive. He would go long stretches without any sort of checking in even though he walked by our table many times in those stretches. Multiple times during these long stretches we needed something and attempted to get his attention as he walked by our table but even then it was a challenge to get his attention. When we did ask, what we asked for was very slow in coming. For example, before our meal arrived we ordered a bottle of wine, but it didn't arrive until after our food had been delivered AND we had all finished eating. Even then it only arrived because we flagged our server down and asked where it was .

    I couldn't have asked for a better birthday dinner for my husband. The service from the manager (Rachel) and our server (Chloe) were outstanding. Both have been with the restaurant for over 5 years (and in the manager's case--about two decades). I think that speaks highly of what a place of employment has to offer when the employees have longevity there. We loved the atmosphere (cozy) and the food/cocktails were fantastic. We won't wait long to return!
