Welcome to Charleston’s newest and most exciting gathering place, The Mill Street Tavern. Located on Historic Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant, The Mill takes its place along the banks currently home to waterfront restaurants and bars in the most picturesque setting. The views were incredible! The rooftop is a must!! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive! Also made great food and wine recommendations. We even had a meme we of our party with a dairy allergy and they catered her dish specifically to her. My dish, shrimp and grits were out of this world!! Healthy portions so you won’t leave hungry! We will be back in the future!

A bit strange in that the kitchen closed at 3 on a Sunday but it appeared that there would be a later sitting. Great setting on Shem Creek.

Great view and off the Shem creek beaten path! Mimosas are solid and actually have champagne unlike Other places that are heavy OJ!

Typical 'good view" brunch location in Charleston. Food is just OK and the restaurant likely wouldn't survive if it wasn't on the water. Aside from shrimp and grits, not a single seafood option on the menu. What's that about?

First time here. It was awesome. Service was on point, any seat on the roof top has a great view. I had the BBQ omelet and OMG was it good. And for all the good food, drinks and atmosphere the price was very reasonable. We will 100% be back and I can't recommend Mill Street Tavern enough.

It was an amazing spot. Beautiful views of the river on the rooftop. The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. Huge portions and really good drinks. The prices were very good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The food was very good. The service was super friendly and helpful with the menu. Only negative thing was the inside of the restaurant lights were way to bright. 😣 Not very welcoming... we ended up sitting up stairs on outside deck. A little chilly they could of used the heater on!! I would like to try this place again and only hope the lighting issue is fixed.

Great service and great food. The rooftop patio is absolutely beautiful and has an awesome ambience to it. Overall, Mill Street is a top pick if you’re looking for somewhere quiet but delicious!

It took a while after we were seated to get our order in. The waiter took the drink order, the drinks came timely except for the nonalcoholic one. Then we sat for an additional 15 -20 minutes before giving our food order. The Farro bowl was very good. The pork chop special with cornbread was so so. Cornbread was not so great. All in all a fair dining experience. Might try lunch sometime or just drinks at bar. Mussels too spicy. Did not seem to match description on menu.

What a wonderful evening on the upstairs patio full of appetizers and drinks! They also had some live music playing! Highly recommend.
