Located on the outskirts of Toronto’s vibrant Yorkville neighbourhood, the MIMI story begins with memories of the past. Loud conversation over plates of steaming noodles. The rush of servers moving quickly about in starched white dress shirts and pressed black bow ties. Darkly lit nooks with deep shades of red. The clanking of cutlery as cocktails are shaken swiftly in the background. A fragrant scent of Sichuan peppercorns toasting in the wok. Excellent service and food. Have not received service like that in such a long time. Every dish was well seasoned, fresh, and delicious! Highly recommend the Stir Fried Squid and House Char Siu. We loved every dish and the cocktails were divine. Will be returning.

The service was exemplary. The food was disappointing. The cauliflower was very salty. The fried chicken aroma was enticing but sadly the chicken was on the drier side. Scallion fried rice is yum. Cucumber salad was full of flavor. General Tao chicken was a little too sweet. Table for 2 are set too close to each other to maximize seating space and tables. Sadly this table seating model offers no intimacy for couples

Food and staff were amazing. Definitely get the pork belly, shrimp cakes, and 4ft noodle.

Great meal. Cutest private dining space for a intimate dinner. Matine was lovely!! Everything was delicious. However, don't get the 4ft noodles and the fried spring rolls. They are sort of the same concept. The way friend spring roll is described it sounds different than what we all expected. I will be back. Thank you!

By far the bet meal I’ve had in Toronto! From the chicken to the pork to dessert. 5 star all the way.

Had the chef’s menu. Great tasting menu with 9 courses. Menu is elevated Chinese that holds true to Chinese cuisine. All of the food tasted great and we had a great experience overall. Would recommend to anyone.

This is my second time at Mimi’s and I found the food very disappointing compared to my first visit. I am a Chinese person, and I think the restaurant has definitely modified the dishes to make it more appealing to the western palette. We had the lunar new year special, and the fish was drenched in a really unappealing sweet and sour sauce that, to me, does not taste refined. In fact, my stomach was quite upset after the meal, which never happens after I eat Chinese food! I do not recommend this place if you grow up with Asian food. If you arr not Asian this restaurant is tailored for you.
