Mimmos Italian Village is one of the 3 original restaurants left in San Diego's historic Little Italy district. Established in 1973 in the heart of Little Italy you will find Mimmos is 3rd generation family owned and operated .

Enjoy our amazing food all homemade from scratch daily, using quality ingredients and fresh local produce .

Our popular dishes include, campanelle sausage, spicy shrimp linguine, and chicken parmesan. You can enjoy these dishes alongside a nice glass of wine or signature homemade sangria.

Mimmo's Italian Village was started by Vincenzo Mimmo Gaglio, originally from Montelepre, Sicily. Before arriving in San Diego, Gaglio sharpened his cooking skills in Tunisia, New York City, Ontario, California, and finally, San Diego.

Mimmo's seating areas consist of a charming indoor village, alfresco front and back patio seating.

We were seated on time and all the staff were very nice and friendly. Food was excellent and served quickly. Would go there again anytime.

Host and manager were really friendly and pleasant. Ambiance was enjoyable and the restaurant is really cute! Service was subpar… waitress (HBRITT on the receipt) was friendly. However she forgot our appetizers. She served our dinner and when asked about them, she didn’t even offer an apology. She returned with the wrong bread and even charged us for it… and forgot the oil to dip it in. She must of had an off day so we decided not to say anything and just tried to enjoy our meal. The food was pretty amazing! We have the Chicken Marsala, Chicken Fettuccine and the Cheese Lasagna. All were absolutely delicious. We had desserts, which were also delicious and I would order them again, with the exception of the Cannoli. Too much lemon flavor us. The Lava Cake and Tiramisu were excellent. When asked for boxes, she did bring them however we noticed she would box all her other guests food but not ours. But it was ok, I am used to it. As someone in the service industry, I would have expected more from a server when mistakes are made. Maybe still have brought out the correct appetizer or at least not charged us for the wrong bread or I would have offered a dessert or something! I would go back, but I would probably request another server… we are from out of town but do frequent San Diego multiple times a year.

Ate outside along the sidewalk. Heaters were on so it was plenty comfortable. Fun setting and ambiance. Food was delicious! Looked like a cute indoor setting as well. They ran out of meatballs (huh? - isn't this an Italian restaurant?). But lots to choose from on the menu. A delightful evening.

Our entrees were mediocre. My daughter actually was ill to her stomach after - we loved little Italy, but will not try Mimmo’s ever again.

This was a great place for a Valentines Day dinner. Our server was super fun and great at giving suggestions. Obviously a little pricey for some college kids but it was worth the amazing night and food ♥️🤗! Would recommend!
