Located in the landmarked former Highland Park Soda Fountain Building in Dallas, Mister Charles is Duro Hospitality’s most ambitious restaurant and bar. With irreverent takes on indulgent French and Italian dishes, elevated cocktails, rare wines, opulent over the top design and soaring 38-ft. ceilings, Mister Charles is redefining Dallas’ dining and tippling scene.

Monsieur Charles a réaménagé une fontaine à eau gazeuse historique et a dévoilé une salle à manger étonnante avec des planchers noirs et blancs, des colonnes ornées et des lustres en cristal. Mister Charles continues to be one of our favorite restaurants. The food is absolutely incredible, but more so the overall experience is what keeps bringing us back. Dallas has needed a restaurant like MC for years and we finally have one that embodies an elegant and special experience with decadent and truly wonderful cuisine. Our favorite dishes: Canapés | A5 wagyu brioche & the grilled cheese with prosciutto Appetizer | Little Gem Caesar & Prime Beef Carpaccio Pasta | Spicy Lumache & Caviar Fusilli (A MUST) Fish | Halibut & Scallops Meat | Texas Wagyu Short Rib Wellington (this dish alone could get them a ⭐️) Sides | Pomme Aligot & Charred Broccolini Dessert | Sundae (an ode to the HP Pharmacy, do not sleep on this, it’s perfect) Thank you, MC. ❤️

Swordfish too salty and overcooked Caesar salad inedible extremely overbearing dressing that also had a strong salt tone Pasta dish tasted canned Atmosphere was excellent food was a let down

Every dish was excellent from the octopus to the Baked Alaska! Loved it all!! Highly recommend the potatoes and the rib eye and caviar pasta 😋

The service is extraordinary. Everyone we interacted with especially our main server John Paul was gracious and attentive. We tried a couple of the canapes, unique and yummy. the ceasar is enough for 4 to share and the Corn and Truffle Beignets were a great beginning. the flavors were bold perhaps more sauces than we might usually enjoy on the mains. the broccolini had ginger dressing which was one of our favorites. the Sundae for dessert capped the evening! as others have mentioned it is "pricey" plan to drop over $200 per person.

Thank you to the team here at Mister. You all made my anniversary one for the books. The rose was a nice touch! I’m beyond grateful for this experience. The food just kept getting better and better with each course. Shout out to Mani, Alika, Nehemiah for showing us true hospitality.

Eric was our waiter extremely polished well-versed in the choices on the menu, he was a delight to have waited on us and the food was point on every bite melted in your mouth. We will be back.

From the time you enter, everyone was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was beautiful, we sat by the kitchen and the chef did a really good job at making sure the food was delicious with great presentation. Really great experience over all, I highly recommend!!

The menu was not explained. Usually this is not an issue because “how bad could it be?”, but it was an issue here. We each ordered entrees meant to serve 2-4 (even 5) people and were not warned. Serving size was also not written on the menu. Our waiter even encouraged us to order more. We also ordered special canapés ($100 total, which is insane but fine (we wanted to try it)) and it was never given. Once the food came, there was no table space. Eventually someone noticed that we could not eat and sloppily tried to fix it at the table. The wine list was rough and expensive. Bottles were pricey and very young. The somms tried to keep up with the orders and upkeep but did not accomplish this. This is not a luxury fine dining place. This is a shared plates place with martinis. Just be honest about that and it would have made for a better experience.
