   Looks beautiful… however most of the dishes we had were pretty bland and not tasty enough for the price. Drinks were pretty good but also some felt off balanced in flavor, not the booze level. Just not a great mixology I suppose. Inside is tiny and constantly was bumped into by people coming and going, and staff themselves. No one was rude, but also just kinda blah except for the nice man with the glasses. I assume he’s a manager or owner/founder. Cheers to him he was great. Honestly just was bummed and maybe it was the dishes we chose but we ordered 4 different things and only 1 really felt “worth it”

   We couldn’t have picked a better place to go this Valentine’s Day. The minute you walk in the staff bends over backwards to make sure you are happy and being taken care of. Tom took care of us by explaining the menu and the shareables were awesome. It was heart to watch the chefs prepare the food in the wood fire oven. We will definitely be back. We had the whitefish pate, the lamb lollipops and the escargot. All were incredible. Well prepared and very flavorful.

   Had a wonderful experience at Mockingbird! Our server, Melissa, was so very good, especially since we had a gluten allergy at the table and a couple of beer aficionados, and manager Tom was stellar in helping us select a wine and putting up with our friend who likes to tell long stories! It’s a small restaurant/bar, so be sure to make a reservation. The ambiance was great as we sat in the heated patio and got to see some snowflakes falling outside. They did not rush us at all. We tried several different pizzas, the salmon, the deviled eggs and the artichoke dip. Would order everything again!

   We have been here many, many times, and have never been disappointed. The ambiance is cozy, warm, inviting, and yet lively and energetic. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We started with cocktails - espresso martini for him, old fashioned for me - both were picture perfect and tasted just as good. We then shared a bowl of tomato soup (which they happily split into two cups), escargot, artichoke hearts (always my favorite here) and a caesar salad. Everything was delicious. We are both looking forward to our next visit!

   One of the best places we go to get freshly made food. Everything we’ve had is very healthy, delicious and chef quality. Each dish not only looks great but is presented and plated perfectly. The ambiance is beautiful and makes going here something to look forward to. We’ve met the owner and know most of the staff as such good people. This is in our top 3 of places to go in Chicagoland. ***** Five Stars on all. Rick & Erin

   Awesome first time experience!!! Got there earlier than usual for a Saturday night out- 530pm. Seated immediately. Attention from servers and staff was outstanding. We had drinks, salad, pizza and dessert. Each better than the next. The atmosphere might be a little loud for some but for those of us who like music playing in the background it was perfect. Prices are similar to other places- as date nights are not as cheap as they use to be but this is our new norm. If you like wood fired pizza give this neighborhood gem a try, I think you will like it!
