   One of the waiters said to us” I don’t like the looking around, I wouldn’t want you to get tackled” when I was looking around for a restroom. not sure if it was a joke or ment to be serious but it made me feel uncomfortable that he would think we would run out with out paying. Besides that everything was perfect, tom segura was great!

   Hello Eduardo! Thank you for your review. I can explain the comment Mel made to you as I was there when he made it! There is a blind spot in the hallway bewtween the kitchen and the restrooms, and we have had a few "collisons" with guests as we were rounding the conrner with trays of drinks, which is what he was refering to. I'm sorry if it seemed to be something else. We apprecitae your support and hope to see you again soon!

   Modern Oysterbar was perfect! The food was excellent from oysters, entrees, and dessert. Cocktails were different and delicious. The atmosphere was classic and inviting. Service and friendly, attentive, and professional. Prices were reasonable and well worth it. Excellent for either a nice dinner out or special event. We've just found our new favorite restaurant!

   I booked a table weeks out - for now apparent reason we were given a high top table in the bar area. It was crowded and got louder and louder to the point where it was an unpleasant place to eat what was supposed to be a nice meal .  Fresh oysters were good.  Other than that, the highlight of the meal was the mashed potatoes…. hmmmph. Pretty strange thing to say.

   First time at this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. We had appetizers, entree’s and sides and every one of them were very good! Ambience was nice and seating was comfortable. Easy recommendation!

   Went for Valentine's Day as we have been here before and enjoyed our meals. We really look forward to the oysters and weren't disappointed; we had six split between the Kumamoto and Prince Caspian and both were delicious. The wife had the fish and chips and I had the filet (medium rare). Both were prepared well though the seasoning on the filet was not evenly distributed. The service was excellent. Two minor things didn't land well: 1) the wine we ordered was listed as 2016 vintage, but the bottle opened was 2019, 2) they pass along their 3% service charge for using a credit card to the customer. I get that sometimes the wine list will differ than what is available, but it wasn't mentioned when the bottle was brought or opened. I get that the 3% service fee is charged by the bank to the business, but there is nowhere that it is mentioned that the customer will pay for it - so the itemized bill will be different than the final check and there is no mention of that on the menu or the bill.

   The pros: we had an excellent waiter and manager who visited us at our table. Cons - the fish and chips is basically $44 fish sticks. The hostess did not read our OT requests. There are so many wonderful restaurant options in Scottsdale with excellent views and chic vibes. This restaurant seem to be favored by an older crowd.

   The menu, taste of food and service were awesome. We were seated in the bar area during happy hour. It was LOUD! I don’t know the noise level in the main dining area and I know it would be the best on the patio. If you go, make sure you ask not to be seated in the bar area
