Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman is a place where foodies, beer lovers, and families escape the stresses of their day to day lives by enjoying an ice cold beer and a great meal while surrounded by people who consider them honored guests and friends.

Our restaurants are founded upon a passion for craft and we are dedicated to mastering the craft of food, drink, and merrymaking…with Aloha! Our menu features fresh island fish, hand tossed pizzas from our kiawe wood burning oven, and homemade pies made from scratch.

Thirty-six craft beers served at twenty-nine degrees are on tap, representing the coldest beer and best selection of microbrews on the island. Our culinary cocktails feature unique ingredients such as acai spirit, coconut water, and Kula lavender. Our passion for craft also extends to our diverse wine list, which emphasizes sustainability, drinkability and fun.

    I realize it was Christmas Day but I only booked based off previous reviews and had high hopes. However, I will never return. Completely overpriced based on what is delivered. Over cooked, everything fried tastes like it was fried in the same grease. They want to put aioli with everything and then slather other things in truffel oil. Now I know why. The fries I ordered were supposed to be garlic, they arrives burnt and zero taste. Tempura fish and chips, too over battered and over cooked. Took one bite and left it. We were there almost 2 1/2 hours waiting on basic things like water. Next time, I will just eat from the ABC store two doors down. The food there looked and smelled amazing with decent prices. Do not waste your time here unless you are just filling a void from a long day of travel where taste, service and atmosphere are of no concern.

    Wonderful staff here at this peaceful Ko Olina location. My go to is the fish tacos but I tried the saimin today. It was perfect!

    Over the years we have eaten at Monkeypod several times. The dishes are no longer as unique or creative. We thought the Seafood Special by Chef Merriman would be wow... instead it was disappointing. This is food that most Hawaiian chefs could create. It did not need a chef like Merriman. If you're only looking for a nice place to eat with decent food this could be it. The prices are high but you expect that at a resort area.

    Service was flawless, food wasn’t great. Fish and chips were overcooked, dry and portion size seems to have dropped since our time here last year. Used to be great and maybe just hit it on a bad night, but food quality seems to have slipped based on this visit.
