Morella celebrates the gastronomic influences that immigrants from European countries, particularly Spain and Italy, had on Argentinian cuisine in the decades following the mass migrations at the turn of the 20th century. Morella features traditional empanadas, wood-smoked meats, pastas and internationally inspired drinks — all meant to be enjoyed in a bright convivial space. 

Our name, Morella, is a derivative of the word Morel, the earthy, nutty, and rare mushroom that is prized by chefs and restaurant connoisseurs, and is featured selectively in our menu who cousins make appearances in our vibrant decor.

    Service was a little slow but ambience was lively and the place is very well decorated. Not the best value in terms of price but good quality food. Drinks were fun and had a great experience. Had the ribeye (loved) empanadas (beef and chicken; chicken was excellent), zucchini fries (fine) regular fries (loved) and the frito misto(good value but forgettable).

    Menu had a lot of interesting choices. We went with some empanadas and a gem salad that were great. Friendly waiter and unique drinks

    I understand the restaurant is new but a few things need to be improved. We had an early reservation - arrived about 5 pm. We both ordered the scallops and the waiter took our order. We started with appetizers and then the waiter came back and said the kitchen was out of scallops. It's odd that the restaurant ran out of a featured item on the menu so early in the evening plus the waiter should have been informed of this so that he could have told us when we placed our order.

    Service at the bar was great. Service at the table was not so great. It felt clumsy and unprofessional. Silverware was replaced mid meal, but in the wrong spot and then moved by hand across the table to the right spots. The entire space was SO bright. It was lit up like daytime inside. Lighting ambiance enhances a space so much and the bright lights were really off putting. The main dining area had music sometimes, but over half the time, the music turned off. Which, again, contributed to an overall lack of nice dining ambiance. I wish the plants inside were real. The lighting on the plants, cast a neon green light which reinforced the fact that all the plants were fake, which feels so cheap. The food was good. Nothing spectacular.

    Our table of four opted for small bites to share, which was perfect. Lots of wonderful flavors and textures. On our list were chicken and beef empanadas, the dirty martini dip, the arancini, the proscuitto bruschetta, the sweet jam fries, the broccolini, and three of the sausages, the wild boar, the rabbit, and the duck with apple brandy. We loved everything and we're a bunch of foodies who dine out often, so that's saying something. Service was excellent and the price was great!

    They are just finding their way here. My wife's scallops were served (Hot) and delicious my Bolognese came to the table luke-warm with a sauce that was almost dry but in fairness tasty! We arrived at 5pm. our reservation time our waitress was nice and efficient 10 minutes later she was not to be found. We asked the waiter in the next section in passing for a pepper shaker he informed us that she was on a break! But he did bring the shaker. At this point the restaurant had been open for 15 minutes (On break perplexing)?? My other advice to the restaurant is to invest in a decanter the one used was such poor quality that I ended up with wine on my shirt thanks to the overwhelmed server.
