Morimoto Asia is Chef Masaharu Morimoto first pan-Asian restaurant. The creativity of Chef Morimoto is already one of the most inventive forces in Asian cuisine. This culinary destination includes unique exhibition kitchens that showcase traditions like Peking duck carving and dim sum. Morimoto Asia’s eye-catching, 36-foot tall, two-story layout includes lounges, private dining spaces, and an exhibition glass encased kitchen that allows guests a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the culinary action. The second-level sushi bar and lounge have a separate entrance.

Morimoto Asia is located at The Landing at Disney Springs, an entertainment-dining-retail district. With an overhaul and re-branding of this portion of Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Springs will present a fresh and new face to the magical kingdom that is sure to be an extraordinary experience.

                                                                              We had a delightful experience at the restaurant. The Wagyu burger bao appetizer was delicious, and my daughter really enjoyed her Tonkotsu Ramen. My husband liked his Mongolian filet as well. I ordered the Japanese Curry Chicken, which was just okay and a bit dry. We both chose fried rice for a "small upcharge," but to our surprise, it ended up costing $15 each. The ambience of the place is phenomenal. We reserved a table on the second-floor patio and were seated within five minutes. However, we were surprised by the prices of the drinks as well. My husband ordered two margaritas, which were nothing fancy—just your basic on-the-rocks with a salt rim—but we were charged $16 for Casamigos tequila, plus a $5 upcharge for the margarita. When we questioned this, we learned that because the margarita wasn't on the menu, it incurred an additional cost. Ironically, if he had ordered the specialty margarita listed on the menu, which likely required more ingredients, he would have only been charged $15 for that drink. In total, including tip, our experience cost $323. Given the unexpected charges, I doubt we will return to this restaurant.

                                                                              The food was exceptional. The atmosphere feels upscale. Our server Eric made our experience even that much better. Everything we ate was amazing. Will definitely be back.

                                                                              SLOW SLOW SLOW. The longest lunch of my life (it felt like). Brought the appetizer out after the meal. Brought sone meals out twice. Put sesame seeds on one persons dish even after we told them there was an allergy. Absolutely never going back.
