An intimate and beautiful family-owned Mornington Peninsula winery and restaurant with vineyard views in the heart of premium wine country. Wine and olive oil grown on site, served with Italian-inspired share plates. Sunny terrace in fine weather, cosy cellar room when it’s cold. Estate wines and barbecued quail are specialties. Lunch dishes change seasonally, estate-grown wine tasting all year round.

Morning Sun is a fantastic little gem in Main Ridge, operated by truly wonderful, thoughtful people. A 'sister operation' to Foxeys Hangout, this truly reminded us of some fantastic little vineyards in Italy. Whilst experiencing an outstanding lunch at Morning Sun, my wife suddenly felt faint and collapsed. The care extended to us by Ben and his team, aided by a doctor dining at the next table, went beyond outstanding hospitality ... it was absolute care and kindness. Foxeys Hangout is great, but if you have time, say g'day to Ben (a really, really nice gentleman from Lyon, France), at Morning Sun and you will enjoy a wonderful experience. But let me acknowledge Tony Lee from Foxeys, who came up to Morning Sun as the ambulance was leaving and offered to drive me to the hospital. How good is that! As I said, this is not just first-class hospitality ... this is sheer kindness and care for others. But don't forget the tasting lunch ... it's fantastic. We (until my wife passed out), are not great fish eaters. No probs. The menu was adjusted for us and EVERYThING offered was brilliant.

What an amazing experience. Felt like we were in the Tuscan hills. Loved the venue. Loved the food, and don’t get me started about the wine. Can’t wait to come back. I truely loved Foxey’s Hangout but this is next level. Highly recommended.

I had booked for 5 people outside however the weather was extremely hot, I rang them requesting a table inside even though they were booked out for inside. However they did their very best and arranged a table inside with aircon we had a wonderful time. They are very accommodating and put themselves out to any requests like a candle on a dessert. The staff are great, always have a great time there. Thank you

We were a party of 7 and at 1.15 (time of booking) on a 30degree day 2 guests were already in full sun - no shade at all. 30 mins later, 4 guests were in full sun and at an hour later, 6 guests. When we asked for an umbrella the staff member implied it was a hot day - what did we expect and no there is no umbrella. Some of our party were late - arriving within the 15 minute window but they had to wait for someone to leave the very limited car park before they could even park. The management said we only had -1 hour 15 to eat at this point even though the website implied that a booking over 4 people had a 2 hour time slot? Maybe I misread. Initially we were offered a drink and then not again. I had to ask for ice with soft drink and no water was topped up! 2 guests had an infant and there were zero facilities for baby changing in bathroom and impossible to feed in the sun. They had to retreat to their car. It could not have been more disappointing!

We went for lunch the day after New Years Day which is one of the busiest dyes . Our waitress was excellent, and the food was ideal for a lunchtime meal. The only downside was that the initial courses came very quickly- almost on top of each other. Towards the end this slowed to a reasonably timeframe. Overall an excellent experience.

Great food and great location. The polenta chips were super crunchy and the Foxey's Hangout Sparkling Rose is a must!!

Whilst the overall vibe of the place is generally pleasant our experience having today’s lunch with frustrating. We booked a table for 2:15 and were advised upon arrival to wait which was about 20 minutes. Upon ordering our food it took forever to bring it out. We were a party of 8 and starving. Food is tasty yet portion sizes are small almost finger food style. They’d literally bring out a plate with a few bite sizes for us then we’d wait another 20 mins or so for next plate and so on. I was loosing my mind. Staff members were trying to hold it together but were noticeably in distress but kept their cool and were very polite and apologetic about the wait and provided a few drinks at no charge. Would I return ? No. If you’d like a solid feed this place isn’t for you however if your after a some light bites to complement the wine and the great atmosphere the location has to offer on a beautiful sunny day then could be your cup of tea.

Absolute great experience! Nice service. Especially they did a lot of effort to give us a seat after I made a wrong reservation. Fantastic wines and excellent food! We as a Dutch family enjoyed this verrry much. Thanks to the excellent staff
