There were only two of us — our entrees were delivered to the table 20 minutes apart. By the time the second entree arrived, the first person had finished their meal. They comped one entree but it ruined the experience. The table next to us had the same problem.

I have gone to many Morton’s, however this was my first visit to DC. It was AWFUL, completely empty at 6 pm and the food was terrible, ordered French onion soup and it was done faster then a Big Mac (it was tasteless). The steak was undercooked and looked like it was boiled - there was no searing and the sides (potatoes au gratin/Brussels sprouts) were way over cooked. For the price this was one of the worst meals I have ever had anywhere ever.

Morton's has always been a go-to spot for a superior steakhouse experience. My wife and I planned a date night to have a special evening out and sprung for the lobster bisque, a medium-rare wagyu steak, aged gouda bacon potatoes au gratin, and a bottle of Chappellet cab. Alexandra, our server, was excellent and attentive. She specifically recommended the wagyu steak, saying it was the best steak she'd ever tasted, and described it as "melt in your mouth." We were particularly looking forward to the wagyu steak, since it would be our first time trying it. The flavor was good, but there was no crust on the steak, and the steak had pockets of fat held together with a lot of chewy connective tissue; far from the "melt in your mouth" experience I'd always heard about wagyu steak. I can grill an excellent steak at home, but I go to Morton's when I want a superior cut, crust, cook, and presentation. What we received was a $20 Safeway steak, not a $129 Morton's steak. The bisque was excellent and the potatoes were very good. The ambiance of the restaurant remains top notch. Overall, however, this was nowhere near worth the $450 bill. I can get a comparable steak dinner at Outback or Texas Roadhouse for about $100.

My boyfriend and I went for his birthday and we had an amazing time. Our server Alexandra was amazing, she explained the menu very well and would give us the best suggestions. The food was delicious! my boyfriend’s steak was perfectly cooked and my salmon was lovely. We loved our time here and would love to come back.
