Conveniently located in the heart of Mackay’s CBD, Moss on Wood is part of Rydges Mackay Suites and is a 7-minute taxi ride from Mackay Airport. Our creative catering team and well-equipped kitchen enable us to tailor function menus to suit your budget and theme. Alternatively you’ll find our pre-designed menus offer great value and excellent choice. Moss on Wood can be used as a private area for up to 300 guests cocktail style and we can also section off parts of the venue to make your function more private. Combine these facilities with our highly experienced and efficient conferencing team and you can rest assured that your expectations will be met.

Moss on Wood has a large pizza oven direct from Italy which is why our home made pizzas are the best in Mackay.     Food and coffee was sensational, easy to order on the qr code and the place was cool and quiet on a hot day.

    Food was great as always is, pre booked table For 7 we got there and only had a table of 6 wasn't ready and said that's all they had, said you can squeeze an extra on there, table was small And cramped for 7 people

    Had the absolute best night celebrating with friends. Staff were all very friendly and service was fast.

    Ended up getting quite sick off the food (ended up being the only thing we ate that day as we ere both sick and glued to the toilet) Food wasn't that tasty that even the couple sitting beside us mentioned that it didn't taste as good as it looked. Staff were too busy dealing with nuisance customers (however that felt with them very professionally) to even be able to complain about the food so we ended up leaving.

    Lovely staff and fun pub vibe. My squid was well cooked but salad was swimming in dressing. Our pizza looked great but tasteless, wet, soggy and cold. Rather disappointing. Range of beers was limited.
