We love mashed potato - it's the food equivalent of a great big hug. Our mash is made with only the very best Maris Piper potatoes - and it's made fresh. Not that day, not that hour, but right before you tuck in. That way it still has the creamy fluffy texture we've whipped into it.
Add a piping hot pie, free range sausages or vegetarian option.. pour on your choice of fresh gravy.. and you'r done. Feel all warm and friendly.

    Very disappointing compared to my first visit last year - small portions, cramped and hot (I had the pleasure of condensation from the rooflights dripping on me throughout the meal) and staff were a bit chaotic (including getting asked to pay the bill twice)

    Was sad that the Christmas special pie was not available, had the special sausage of the day, it was good. Service was very good and had a nice table for two in a corner.

    great little place wirh super menu, simple and effective and great servixe. top tip is to request a booth which are nice and contained

    Service was very bad even though Lucas and the girl were quite nice and friendly... The girl said we was gonna be offered a dessert after we e been give a table at the end where it was a step which my mom had some difficulties to reach the table but they didn't instead we paid both dessert and we ere expecting a something as we were celebrating, also I ordered 2 sausage + 1 extra which never arrived together even though the waiter re confirmed the order at the end , that came after on the side after I've been ask for it enjoying it without any sauce and mash

    First time I visited Mother just walked in from the street - and me and my wife were lucky to get a table without booking, service and food are amazing. We returned few times. The only wish is to have a wider range of beers maybe.

    It felt a tad chaotic and disorganized in a small space. I had a reservation, but that didn’t seem to matter. Not a complaint as we were seated right away, but was an observation. They also had a sign saying to wait outside to be seated, but no one came for quite a while despite my peering through the window, until I peaked my head in as there was a queue forming behind us. Food was tasty and came quickly. Just would’ve wanted a more relaxed dining experience.

    We arrived early and was able to be seated. Food came out quickly and was plenty. There was no rushing us out as soon as we had finished even though they were getting busy. Food started to run out so just shows how popular this little hidden gem can be. Good variety of food - mains and puddings - the brownies were so good!
