Ouvert depuis décembre 2012, le Mountain Standard est un restaurant innovant géré par les créateurs du Sweet Basil, à Vail, dans le Colorado. Également située dans la vallée de Vail, cette taverne accueillante de style rustique propose une cuisine préparée avec des méthodes ancestrales. La plupart des plats composant le menu du Mountain Standard sont préparés au feu de bois avec les meilleurs ingrédients provenant des Rocheuses et des régions voisines. Il s'agit du seul restaurant de la vallée à utiliser cette technique de cuisson très ancienne permettant d'obtenir des saveurs uniques et authentiques. Le service, tout comme la cuisine, est à la fois convivial et de grande qualité, sans aucune prétention. Ce restaurant animé bénéficie par ailleurs d'un magnifique emplacement au bord d'un ruisseau.

Mtn Standard is located in the heart of the Vail Village, which is a pedestrian village. Take interstate 70 to the Vail exit #176. Proceed through rotary intersections so that you wind up heading East on the So. Frontage Road (ski mountain side of the highway). Go eastbound approx.¼ mile to the Vail Village parking structure. Exit the structure out the middle portal to the south. Go across the Covered Bridge another 75 yards, and go right on Gore Creek Dr. We are down the steps past the Fountain

One of our favorite restaurants in Vail. Food is delicious, service was excellent. We look forward to coming here every year.

Great dinner, with amazing ambiance and delicious food. We had the salmon crudo, the pork chop, the pork shank and the Nutella tiramisu for desert. All perfect! We had a great time here.

We went for lunch and everything we tried here was delicious, from appetizers to the main dishes it was amazing. Beef carpaccio, sea salt biscuit, pimento cheese, salmon dip, oysters, cubano and fish n chips. The staff was all amazing and next time we are in Vail we will be back here again. Definitely recommend getting reservations this place is always packed.

We have been several times there and I have to say that the overall experience has gone down. Service was painfully slow. Everything took forever and had to be asked for multiple times. The pork chop was quite greasy. The salads and scallops were good
