The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers contemporary Creole cuisine with New Orleans classics like Seafood Gumbo, Turtle soup, Shrimp & Grits and Wood Grilled Pork Chop while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks and appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer Seance and The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's top bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan; it's the perfect spot for an intimate conversation or a drink among its plush surroundings. The 170 foot wrap-around balcony is a splendid spot for enjoying our specialty cocktails or our extensive wine list featuring over 300 selections from around the world.

The Pecan Crusted Drum was exceptional. Bread pudding was fantastic. Most likely the best in NOLA or possibly I have ever had. Muriels is a definite must if you are looking for higher level dining in the French Quarter. The service was very good and attentive. I say it is a must on your French Quarter dining planning

We had a lovely evening at Muriel’s. The service was excellent. My husband and I had the three course dinner. All the food was very good. My pecan crusted fish was outstanding. The drinks were delicious and creative. After our meal we were told that we could access the second floor bar. We enjoyed the ambiance and go great photos from the second floor balcony. Highly recommend!

Although I had only appetizers, the food was excellent. My lady friend thoroughly enjoyed her salad and duck entree. The service was attentive without being intrusive.

Fantastic, as always. Had the panko-crusted salmon that was served on mushroom oyster chowder: how creative—and delicious! The service was prompt and attentive. This is why Muriel’s is a must-do when we’re in NOLA.

Service was slow. I think they were understaffed. Service was good when it came.

While the wait staff were attentive and friendly the food left much to be desired. The wait for our entrees was over and hour and the food came out cold/luke warm. 2 of the 6 people ordered steaks at $60 a pop and both were cold only to be returned to us after they placed the plates in the microwave. Everyone who order broccolini received there’s raw and virtually inedible. Unfortunately the 6 of us will not be returning.

It was pretty overpriced and kind of overhyped. We did the Reveillon menu and the first two courses came out quickly and were pretty good. The entrees were overly salted and my gingerbread cake dessert tasted stale. It took quite awhile for our third and fourth courses to arrive, so the rhythm felt off. Overall, it was fun and the restaurant is beautiful but it’s far from what we expected based on other reviews.
