De la part des éditeur·rice·s d'OpenTable: L'équipe mari et femme de Wade Ueoka et Michelle Karr-Ueoka a été formée dans des cuisines étoilées MICHELIN de Napa à New York avant de revenir à la maison pour ouvrir ce que Eater appelle l'un des restaurants les plus incontournables d'Honolulu. L'espace aéré du deuxième étage dispose d'une grande salle à manger animée où l'on peut déguster des plats hawaïens signature comme le kampachi en croûte de mochi et les sliders de bœuf wagyu sur des petits pains au mochi faits maison. Gardez de la place pour les desserts primés de Karr-Ueoka, telle la glace pilée à la mangue.

Drop off and entrance to the restaurant and valet parking is from Kapiolani Blvd make a right at the Mercedes Benz sign and go straight down to the end of the lane and then turn up the ramp. Parking on the ground level in the MW Valet only stall is prohibited and subject to be towed away at the owner expense.

    As usual, the meal was fantastic. The food at MW is just outstanding, and the service was very good. Our server knew his menu well and was able to make very good and appropriate recommendations for our meal. Thank you!

    It's fourth time for me to eat great dishes at MW restaurant. All their dishes are excellent every time. I wanna come again!

    It’s been our go-to favorite restaurant whenever we come to Oahu. We started going when they had their original spot behind Ala Moana Center. Thanks again for a wonderful dinner!

    My partner and I recently dined at MW and found the food to be exceptional. Getting in, though, was an adventure—tucked awkwardly within a luxury car dealership, the restaurant is practically inaccessible unless you drive and use the building’s parking lot. We had to sheepishly ask a (closed) dealership employee to let us in. Once inside, the warm staff welcomed us and seated us promptly. The ambience, though, felt conflicted: the menu and wine list scream fine dining, but the decor leans toward an overlit, faux-plant-filled family-style Asian bistro. Thankfully, the food more than made up for it. From the comforting Pork Hash Dumplings to the balanced Miso Honey-Glazed Butterfish, every dish fused homeliness with culinary sophistication. Service was attentive yet unobtrusive, and each dish confirmed we’d just experienced one of our best meals in Oahu. Awkward entry aside, MW is absolutely worth it—even if you have to wade through a line of cars you’ll probably never afford. 4/5 stars.

    Great Restaurant Week menu. Everything was rad. Perfect timing with food and plating. The staff were always there to drop and remove food and bring drinks so quietly and effecient that they were almost invisible, which was amazeballs. Aloha and Mahalo Nui.

    The food was one of the best meals I’ve had ever. The poke nachos and wagyu sliders were very tasty. The butterfish just melted in my mouth. If I come back to Waikiki, I will go back to MW!

    Best food ever but if they just put tablecloths down it would really help the noise level….it was SO loud you couldn’t even hear what the person across from you at the same table was saying Also, bartender needs to tone down his creativity and just make good old fashioned cocktails! It’s still one of the best places in town!!

    Our second visit & we definitely had another memorable dining experience, once again! Our server was very attentive — patiently answered all our questions & explained the menu items thoroughly…..thank you!! For sure, we’ll revisit when our future vacation plans bring us back to Hawaii…..

    All the items we tried on the five course tasting menu were excellent. The restaurant is nice and almost plain, but the food is where it is at. Highly recommended.
